2 Revision History
Revision Description/Reason for Revision Date
3 Description
Man Power: Not affected.
For Propellers that have been rebuilt with parts from other
propellers the TSN of the hub and each blade should be listed
in the Propeller Logbook (see also 2.6.1).
The Serial Number of the hub remains the Propeller Number
Serial Number.
Interchangeability or Intermixability of Parts:
In this case the TSO of the Propeller is equal to the highest
TSO of the used parts.
Example: Blades with TSO of 926 hours are installed in a Hub
with TSO of 564 hours. In this case the new Propeller TSO will
be 926 h.
4 Accomplishment Instructions
4.1 Definitions
TSN The TSN (Time Since New) describes the time since manufacturing.
TBO The TBO (Time Between Overhaul) describes the time after which an overhaul must be
performed.
TSO The TSO (Time Since Overhaul) describes the time since the last overhaul was performed.
TTO The TTO (Time to Overhaul) describes the remaining time until an overhaul must be
performed.

Table 1
4.6 Deviations
4.6.1 Calendar time extension
To achieve the yearly inspection of the aircraft or vehicle it is possible to exceed the calendar time
limit. The maximum possible extension is less than one year. The TBO service time limit is not
affected and remains the same.
4.6.2 Aerobatic
All maneuvers not listed below are aerobatic maneuvers:
- Maneuvers used for normal flying.
- Stall (except whip stalls); and
- Lazy eights, chandelles, and steep turns, in which the angle of bank is not
more than 60 - degrees.
Service times with aerobatic and without must be counted separately. The service time of aerobatic
must be multiplicated by 3 for the TSO calculation.
TSO Total = TSO non aerobatic + 3 x TSO aerobatic
If it is not possible to count the service time separate the complete must be multiplied by 3.
4.6.3 Airworthiness Directives AD’s
The limitations within this Service Bulletin can be restricted by airworthiness directives.
4.6.4 Special environmental conditions
Propellers that are used exceptionally or are operated in adverse environments (e.g. agricultural
aircraft, seaplanes, arctic or tropical environments) must be carefully observed. If corrosion or
damages occur they must be overhauled before the TBO is reached.
4.7 Storage
The consequences of environmental influences over a longer period require a propeller overhaul,
regardless of the operating flight hours. For this reason, a maximum calendar time limit between
overhauls is prescribed in Table 1 in column 6.
4.7.1 Storage advises
No propeller should be stored standing on the blade tips. The best is to store the propeller in the
original packing.
The following standard values for the atmospheric environment are applicable.
- storage temperature 15° - 25° Celsius
- humidity 45 % to 50 % (optimal) to 70 % (maximal)
- without direct solar radiation
- No exposure to UV-light
- ambient air free of pollutants (solvents, vapors etc.)
- Free from excessive dust, dirt, liquids etc.
