APPLICATION FOR SEEKING STATUS REPORT AND DIRECTING POLICE FOR

PROPER INVESTIGATION.

1. That the applicant Mrs. Poonam sinha, Aged 60yrs(approx) is a law

abiding citizen & widow of Mr. Avinash kumar sinha, Resident of
JEHANABAD(BIHAR).

2. That the applicant humbly submits that on 29 Nov.2017 my daughter

Shweta kumari sinha got married according to hindu rituals with Dilip
kumar, s/o Vinay Shankar Prasad ,resident of samastipur.

3. That the applicants further submits that after two months of marriage my
daughter started being harassed for dowry by her husband & other in-
laws(sasuralwale). My daughter’s husband namely Dilip kumar started
putting pressure on my daughter that you tell your mother to sell her
 house of jehanabad & give me 25 lakhs rupees. When my daughter said
that at the time of marriage, my mother has already supplied jewelery,
cash & other house hold items as per the demand. Now if she sells the
house & give the money to you where will she herself be..? enraged by
this,her husband & her in-laws(sasural wale )beat her with sticks & did not
even give her food.

4. That the applicant also submits that on 15 Nov.2022 when I went to meet
my daughter seeing the bad physical & mental condition of her, when I
asked, she told me that for sake of dowry, her in-laws have been beating
her for the last 5yrs. She did not tell me this things for 5yrs due to social
stigma & the same time , she was trying her best to reconcile with her in-
laws, I come back after persuading her in-laws.

5. That the applicant further submit that on 25 feb 2023 my daughter was
abducted by her husband & in- laws(sasuralwale) with intention of killing
her & after all these incidents, I came to the shelter of law & lodged FIR
dated on 26/2 23 against them and a copy of FIR is annexed as P1, after
that police recovered her.

6. That the applicants submits that approx 4 months is completed since lodging
of FIR but the police has done nothing in the name of investigation even they
did not record statement of victim it seems that the police is trying to protect
the accuseds. no proper action has been taken till date there is

apprehension that accuseds may harm me,my daughter & our family
member.
7. That the applicant & his family member is being threatened & being
pressurized for withdrawal of case.
 PRAYER

On the basis of above circumstances, it is humbly prayed :

1) Seeking action taken report.

2) Directing Police for proper investigation.

3) Addition/alteration of proper section in FIR as per circumstances of

offence.

4) Pass any other order which this court seem fit & in interest of justice
