INTRODUCTION

The opening of different business ventures came from different groups of new and
established entrepreneurs in different industries. One of the dilemmas of the entrepreneurs is
the choice of business and the risk attached to it. It is imperative that every entrepreneur has to
focus on business opportunities that will change once creativity, knowledge and expertise.

With vast types of business that can be introduced in the market, entrepreneurs
basically consider the needs and wants of the customers, present competitors and the impact of
the routes to start a business. Most of the business that have been opened are simple attainable.

So they gave us an idea to implement a business that can need them. As concerned
citizens of this country, we came up an idea to implement a business in the Photocopy Center
Industry with business names as “MJZJ Copy Center” located at University of Saint Louis
Tuguegarao that the materials needed are available in the locality which produced an efficient
and effective business. However, along our endeavour, we experienced several adversities such
as the part of maintaining the machine and marketing due to the destructive hit of typhoon that
came to a bad result. But fortunately, we were able to construct resolution to our problem and
gradually the machine was recovered.

Despite of the designation of tasks and group rotation that were not followed resulting
to different conflicts and struggle. We are able to surpass it through proper consideration and
undertakings in our marketing aspect.

Among all, Business Plan Implementation was a memorable task and undertakings. We
were able to develop our entrepreneurial competencies and hopefully as another chapter life
opens of us we are able to utilize it.

MARKETING, SALES, MERCHANDISING AND PROMOTIONS

I. MARKET EXECUTION OF PLAN

As we implemented the business, we always considered the customers

especially to those customers that gain a loyalty to us. We gave discount and a lower
price to those customers compared to other competitors. As we do this, customers is
very much part of our entity even not as a market but they can be our guide towards
better opportunities and idea seeking as we desire to do our role as entrepreneur today
and for the future.

II. SELLING AND MERCHANDISING BUSINESS

As we do selling in our business, we rented a stall near the school of University

Saint Louis Tuguegarao to reach our target customers which is the students. We
applied what we learn on marketing. We are able to practice the principles of
marketing, our competencies

III. SALES INVENTORIES

Proper allocation of resources is at most needed. We should remain focus on

where we shall need improvement to control and manage the business with less risk
and minimal conflicts. On this aspect we were able to gain competencies.

IV. CUSTOMER SERVICE PROMOTION

As part of our service promotion, Personal Selling was conducted. Discounts

were also for bulk purchases. We also include personal delivery. Customers were
valued. Some may talk negatively but must be deal with because they were a part of
entity. Ten of ten competencies we need to gain were realized in this part of promotion.

V. BEST SELLING/FAST MOVING ITEMS

In our business plan, our business will be offering a service photocopy as our
main purpose but eventually we augmented some just like, bookbinding, and scanning.
We did it to satisfy them and help in such aspects and we need to communicate
properly to gain loyalty. Service speaks a lot. Ten competencies were gain in this
portion.

11
FINANCIAL PERFORMACE OF THE BUSINESS

The targeted profit for the month of August 2018- April 2019 equals to P5, 000.00 and no
losses shall be incurred or recorded. In our actual, operation, we were able to gain profit for 3
months. But, due to typhoon landed here in our city, we experienced power interruption
without any income gained during those days so it was recorded as loss. Renting a generator
is the reinforcement of the business. And when the power of electricity has been stable, we
came back on what we gain before the typhoon landed.

INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS OPERATION STORY

14
The world of entrepreneurship is very deep far from what I had expected way back when a I
was started to enter in college. My first choice was to take a tourism course in the private school. But
my family can’t afford the tuition fee so I had no choice but to pick another course that may fit to my
own disposition. And this is the way I’m going to stray with, the journey of being an entrepreneur.

From the very start, I already have the knowledge of what entrepreneurship means. My mother
had already many experiences in running a business for many times. And for that, I say to myself that I
need this, I want to become an entrepreneur. And luckily, I got the course business entrepreneurship
from this department. Then, my entrepreneur’s life started. It was not easy for me. As an entrepreneur,
are risk takers but some only think an idea that surely gets money which is not the real motive of an
entrepreneur. We conceptualize many ideas but there were many ideas that we failed to plan because
of some difficulties and failure. So we decided to think other ideas and I suggested why we don’t put up
a business near to the school environment. I suggested photocopy business and my group mates agreed
even if large amount of money should be contributed. We started the business and I can say that it was
a good flow. We gained big sales. We have customers the build a loyal patronization into our business.
And I am very thankful for that happened. Weeks and months passed, typhoons and heavy rains
occurred. Our business got affected due to power interruption to the city. In that situation, our
operation was temporarily stop. But after that all were already been stable and we continued the
implementation. On my co-partners, I didn’t expect from the first that they be my partners in doing the
implementation, because we aren’t friends. But when the business plan implementation started, I’ve
already know them a lot, their personalities and character are luckily fit to my personality so it was not
hard for me to approach them. But sometimes, we experienced a misunderstanding to each other. But
we solved it; we opened a forum to fix of what the misunderstanding happened.

At that journey, there are many things happened but we ended up without being destroyed thus
we learned a lot and experienced of what the world of business is.

I am JACKIELYN BALUBAL, a young Entrepreneur

15
As a young entrepreneur stepped in to the real world of business, nothing is easy at first, we
must continue to ask ourselves’ what’s next? It takes humility to realize that we don’t know everything,
not to rest and know that we must keep learning and observing. Business is a combination of sports and
war you need to think very well what exactly you want and you have passion of it because repentance is
always at last.

At first, I ask myself if I am belong to this type of business because I have no idea what is it but
when the time that we group ourselves according to what business we want to put up I don’t know why I
join to them because in the first place I don’t know how to operate a photocopying machine and I don’t
have skills and knowledge in this business but as days and months passed I learned how to love this
business and I am become responsible in doing my work. But I believe that everything happens for a
reason, I believe that God have a better plan for me so I am here now.

In the first month that we operated, we were happy because we gained a lot of sales and in that
month our relationship to each other became closer and we can’t removed the fact that we also
encountered small problem like understanding because of personal problem but we already fixed it
immediately. Days and months passed, our business become much better, but in the month of
December, there are times that we lose hope because we encountered a big problem that our business
experienced loss income because of the typhoon landed here at Cagayan. There was a power
interruption almost a month and we cannot operate because we don’t have any generator to serves as
an alternative. After that, another hindrance came, our machine got damaged, it was not easy for us
because we cannot operate without machine. So we spend a lot of money because we had no choice. We
did it for that sake of our business. But it’s not the end, there is always tomorrow to begin a new hope.

Don’t lose hope, never give up, don’t think when you are failed about many things, because
today is hard tomorrow will be worse, but the day after there will be sunshine.

I am MAE ANGELICA FUENTES, a young Entrepreneur

16
Being an entrepreneur was one of the most exciting and popular thing to do though starting
and maintaining our business implementation isn’t easy. Base on my experience, I have learned how to
manage and maintain a business. I intended on telling how to do it by myself to display what I have
learned.

Your heart pounds , your excitement abounds. You are inspired life has new meaning. What is
the objective of all this positive energy? An idea? The experience of getting a new idea is wonderful.
What you have a plan and know what it takes to carry your idea for conception to reality. And that is
what entrepreneurs are.

Our business implementation is photocopy center. But our first choice was coffee shop, second
choice was photocopy center. So we discussed with my co-teammates to choose what business we will
builds so we decided and agreed to build up a business of a photocopy business.

Since we need materials in our business implementation; we decided to buy two machines from
Manila. The location of our business was located at the Arellano St. Mabini corner Centro 02,
Tuguegarao City and our target customer were the students of USLT (University of Saint Louis
Tuguegarao). Our first operation started at the month of August 28, 2018. We have lot of sales and
gained more profit in the past few months. However, there are still time that our sales are small.
During of our implementing our business, we encountered a big problem and that was a typhoon
landed here at Cagayan. We felt hopeless because we stop operated our business temporarily without
power electricity. But when the electricity came back we just recovered our income from that problem.
This failure made us strong and we were more unified not just a group but as a family.

I was appointed as the Marketing Manager wherein I monitored the supplies and delivered our
finished products to the clients. As soon as I finished my duties and responsibilities as well as the
assigned task given to me, I immediately assited the other members in order to have a well- organized
flow of service.

I learned in our business that do not afraid to take a risk in failure because this is just a part of
bring entrepreneur. I learned how to sacrifice and how to get involved with the people and especially to
our customers. Sometimes there are rouge customers, but I’m always forgave them. This is to do
sacrifice until i achieve my goal in life and become a successful entrepreneur someday.

I am JONALISSA D. SALAMERO, a young entrepreneur.

17
The life of Entrepreneurship student is not as easy as others think. What I think before is
different from what I experience today. It’s not all about ideas; it’s about making the ideas happen.

I expect too much from our business, I’m so excited what happen after we build this MJZJ
PHOTO COPY. In our first operation we get nervous because we have a lot of costumers, we are
slowly moving because we’re not able to operate well the machine, but while its takes too long we
accept bookbinding, and a lot of photocopying. But one day our machine got damage we did not know
what exactly happen, we spend so much money to repair the machine. We need to take the risk, so that
we realize that we need to see the failure at the beginning and at the middle, but never entertain it as an
end. For me as an entrepreneurship student, it’s hard but fun, why? Because while you studying you
earn money. As an Entrepreneurship student, you always smile have good relationship to your
costumers and budgeting the money we earn.

What exactly I learn is start a small business and make it big. Don’t worry about the failure;
keeps it going you have a power to change anything. Without a struggle there is no progress. You have
to believe it before you see it.

I am Zusette Kate Tenedor, a young Entrepreneur
