CASE STUDY REPORT

Case No. 3 Kam

The informants no. 3 was 16 years old she has been living with their foster parents for
past 4 years and she is a member of the Mothedist Church. She is studying at Urduja
National High School as a Grade 11 GAS student. She has been experiencing difficulties
in joining group activity especially at night because their foster parents do not allow
them to stay out past 5 pm. These strict time limits set by their foster parents often
prevent her from participating in group activities with their classmates.

According to informants no. 3 she was in grade 8 when she was transferred to her new
family. She is happy with her new family there is a lot of change in his life since she
settled in her new home, especially her academic performance. She can do her
assignments and activities in school and no longer absent, she said ‘‘dati po kasi payat
ako medyo nagkalaman na po ako ngayon, tsaka po wala na po ako masyadong
absent katulad nong grade 10 po sa buong school year ko po ata tatlong absent tsaka
half day lang, pero yong nandun po ako halos ano po ang dami ko pong absent kasi
po dati tinatamad po ako’’ now she can focus more and give time to her studies, and she
got good grades and academic performance in school. She added “Dati po, nong
dumating po ako dito payat po ako, dito lang po ako tumaba sa kanila dahil nakakain
po ako ng maayos at hindi po ako nagugutoman”
