Job Title RC143 VERIFICATION CALL SUPPORT VOLUNTEER


Volunteer Assignment The RC143 Verification Call Support Volunteer is a representative of the Operation
Description Center and Volunteer Service Office, responsible for contacting RC143 Volunteers in the
community to verify their involvement with PRC chapters.

Purpose/ Objective The main goals for volunteers in this role are to:
- Contact RC143 Volunteers at the municipal and barangay levels through voice
calls.
- Clarify the volunteering status of RC143 volunteers.
- Remind and instruct ground volunteers about their duties and responsibilities.
- Inform RC143 volunteers about current activities and training opportunities.
- Contact RC143 volunteers during emergencies to gather essential information for
disaster response.

Tasks and Deliverables The RC143 Volunteer Call Support will:


1. Call RC143 Volunteers in the Mapping List to verify their volunteering status and
the accuracy of their contact information.
2. Complete a minimum of 39 calls per duty shift.
3. Document all calls in the provided Call Logs.
4. Seek assistance from staff for questions beyond their knowledge.
5. Maintain daily attendance, call notes, call logs, and call reports, and submit them to
the team leader.
6. Consolidate and submit all call logs to the day's supervisor.
7. Record details of comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
8. Be physically and mentally prepared when reporting for duty.
9. Report to the Supervisor at the start and end of duty for orientation and debriefing.

Time Commitment This volunteer placement is valid until December 31, 2023

Volunteering Volunteer reports 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a maximum reporting of 6 days. May report
Work Schedule to a maximum of 26 days for a 30-day month and 27 days for 31-day month.
Training and Skill Volunteers must complete the Basic Volunteer Orientation Course (BVOC) and RC143
Development Orientation due to the need for basic communication skills. They will also receive
training in phone courtesy and etiquette. Additional training, workshops, webinars, or
seminars are optional but encouraged to enhance their skills and resource development.

Supervision The RC143 Verification Call Support Volunteer collaborates with the OpCen/VS Staff
for direct reporting. They indirectly answer to the Volunteer Engagement Officer and the
VS Manager since all NHQ volunteers are managed by the Volunteer Service Office. The
volunteer's authority and decision-making are limited to handling outbound calls as
directed, with administrative concerns directed to the staff on duty.

Authority and Since this is a volunteering position, the RC143 Verification Call Support Volunteer has
Decision Making the capacity to organize and prioritize his time & abilities according to the tasks and
responsibilities given to him/her. As his/her main responsibility is to handle outbound
calls as directed by the OPCEN or VS staff, therefore his/her authority and decision
making is limited to such. All upper management and administrative concerns should
automatically be channeled to the staff on duty.

Reporting Structure The RC143 Verification Call Support Volunteer reports directly to the OPCEN Team
Leader / VS Staff on Duty.

Supporting Policies This placement adheres to the Volunteer Information Profile and Volunteer Terms of
Reference. It follows all standard operating policies, procedures, guidelines, and code of
conduct outlined in the manual of operations and any other regulations or directives from
PRC affecting the volunteer work or placement.
Working Conditions The volunteer works at the 2nd floor Operations Center, with access to a worktable, a
mobile or landline phone unit, and a computer for call logging. They may use center
facilities and equipment essential to their work and are responsible for their proper care.

binding in principle only and does not constitute a legally binding contract between the parties involved. It can be
terminated at the discretion of either party at any time. Furthermore, neither party intends to establish an employment
relationship, either presently or in the future.
