Application for Dues Relief

DUES RELIEF BY-LAW 10.2

A member, intern, or specified scope of practice licensee who is:

A ) unemployed for at least one year as a result of job loss;

B ) not working due to illness, disability, or parental leave;
C ) attending a full time post-graduate university program relevant to the practice of professional engineering
or professional geoscience; or
D ) experiencing other circumstances which, in the opinion of council, merit dues relief;

may apply to have his or her annual dues deferred, reduced or waived on terms and conditions established by the council.

Applications shall be submitted to the registrar and relief, if granted, shall apply to the dues payable for the then current year
only. Please note that if dues relief is granted, it is generally for a 50% reduction of the regular dues. Dues relief applications
require one (1) week to be processed.

If you submit the application for dues relief before you renew, then you will be able to renew for the reduced amount. If
you submit the form after you renew, then a cheque or credit will be issued.

Practising members and specified scope of practice licensees who are approved for dues relief shall continue to fulfill the
requirements of 11.2 (Continuing Professional Development Program).
