I. Project Overview
TamNurse Cares is an initiative drive that specifically caters to the locals
of Baranggay 400 Zone 4 District IV at M.V. Delos Santos St. Sampaloc, Manila,
Philippines. This proposed project is targeted to be the first routinary outreach
program under the newly established academic organization, the FEU Nursing
Society. This project will launch its premier plan through an interactive health
teaching session, feeding program and gift-giving through the sponsors and
donation drive by the 16th of April 2023. This principal event will kickstart the
execution of the proposed plans through the years to come in order to attain
the projected vision by the year 2028.

Mission

TamNurse Cares aims to provide effective and innovative health care

solutions and services to safeguard the health, wellness and welfare of its
chosen locality for the people to attain a high standard of community living
while subsequently honing the skills of the FEU Nursing students when it
comes to community health nursing in practice.

Vision
TamNurse Cares envisions a successful project whose chosen
community is not only knowledgeable about safeguarding their health and
wellness but also actively promotes or embodies safe, reliable, healthy and
effective health care practices by 2028 through the aid of well-equipped
student nurses and local barangay.

Core Values
Excellence

TamNurse Cares aim to deliver high-quality service and care to

aid its chosen beneficiary or locality by subsequently allowing FEU
Nursing students to hone and excel in their nursing practice in the
hopes of creating globally competitive nurses in the future.

Stewardship
TamNurse Cares aim to take on the challenge of supervising and
coordinating the projected plan by taking accountability in managing
our constituents and resources well.

Perseverance
TamNurse Cares aim to commit ourselves to delivering, to the
best of our abilities, the most rightful and effective plan of care or
strategy to hone our nursing students and chosen community.
Integrity
TamNurse Cares aim to act morally with accountability and
honesty in all our endeavors.
Collaboration
TamNurse Cares aim to promote the spirit of effectively and
harmoniously working with other people to achieve multi-disciplinary
health care approach and services.

Goal

Through the collaborative efforts of FEU Nursing Society, Nursing

students and local barangay, the chosen community will actively promote and
embody safe, reliable, healthy and effective healthcare practices by the year
2028.

Objectives

• TamNurse Cares will hone the health teaching and community

nursing skills of the students through heightened local exposure.
• TamNurse Cares will serve as an avenue for nursing students, local
barangay units, health care practitioners and clients to
collaboratively plan out effective health care plan for the benefit of
the people.

• TamNurse Cares will actively promote a multi-disciplinary and

holistic health care services for the locals through various proposed
plans.
• TamNurse Cares will enlighten the locals through conscious and
active efforts of delivering high-quality service for the community.

Why we chose this community?

• Barangay 400 Zone 41 District IV at M.V. Delos Santos St. Sampaloc,

Manila, Philippines, with a population size of 2,036, is chosen as the
official community beneficiary of FEU Nursing Society as the
barangay’s visions and principles of nurturing and prioritizing its
constituents align with the values embodied by the organization. As
the forefront bearer of change in the health sector, the FEU Nursing
Society intends to generate long-term projects that coincide with
existing community health and nutritional plans in line with
Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and Sustainable
Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being). Moreover, this
project will also serve as an avenue for the nursing students’
exposure in community health teaching.

• Upon careful assessment of the data acquired from Barangay 400,

nutrition in children is not given immense importance or priority as
evidenced by the poor implementation of focused-driven projects
to cater to the younger generation. Insufficient data and projects
to monitor the health status of the children were also noted. Poor
health habits can result in malnutrition and other diseases such as
diabetes and hypertension. In line with this, we believe that we can
further combat this problem by instilling a healthy lifestyle in
children, especially with their food or nutritional intake.

What is our first project all about?

• TamNurse Cares: Enlightening Children for a Healthier Tomorrow

then comes into play as the first installment of this initiative. This
will be performed through an interactive health teaching session
with the aim of enlightening the children about Pinggang Pinoy (Go,
Grow, Glow Foods) whilst enhancing the skills of the student
nurses in terms of handling different ages across the lifespan,

specifically the elementary students. Lessons about nutrition and

meal preparation with the aid of a healthcare professional
(nutritionist) shall also be done to teach the children’s respective
guardians. This initiative is coupled with a feeding program and gift-
giving, made possible through the assistance of the sponsors, as a
means to address concerns about malnutrition in children and aid
in the proliferation of good health habits.

community as the primary target population in this project. The nursing
students will benefit through skills enhancement by increased exposure in the

Eastern University to aid the students in their community health nursing
subjects.
This project will also allow nursing students inside and outside of FEU
Nursing Society to aid the community by maintaining the health of the citizens
and to serve the community as future health care practitioners through the
partnership of different organizations and/or sponsors.

IV. Financial Sustainability

TamNurse Cares projects will be powered through the donation drives,

sponsors and collaborations with different companies and organizations. This
will be fortified through the continuous efforts of FEU Nursing Society and
Barangay 400 local authorities to aid in the expansion of healthcare services in
the community. All affliations and collaborations will be fortified by
Memorandum of Agreements to ensure safe and legal transactions.

All resources (money and in-kind donations) that will be accumulated

will be documented, liquidated and expedited effectively. This is to ensure that
the resources are utilized reasonably to its fullest potential. Documents shall
be righfully passed to the administration for verification and safe-keeping.
Information (such as data, documentation, forms etc.,) that can be legally
published via social media pages and local bulletin boards shall also be utilized
in order to provide transparency and continued trust in TamNurse Cares
partner company, organizations and sponsors.

V. Organizational Sustainability

The meaningful plans and fruitful beginnings of TamNurse Cares shall

be closely monitored and may be managed by the founder through the years
to come as an executive consultant in line with being the main proponent of
the said project.
Tam Nurse Cares, as a routinary project, shall also be entrusted in the
hands of succeeding officers of FEU Nursing Society, especially to
the pioneering heads of the said project, which can then be collaborated with
the FEU Nursing Administration in order to facilitate the remaining projected
plan for the community.
In unforeseen circumstances (such as discontinuation or rebranding of
FEU Nursing Society as another organization), the new nursing student
governing body shall take charge to expedite the continuity of the project.
Adequate manpower shall also be ensured through the aid of different
sectors such as the increasing quantity of nursing students, organizations,
sponsors and the like which thereby secures the organizational feasibility of
the project.
