Task 4 Section 5 Provide Production Elements at an

Event

This event can be a formal school or year assembly, presentation night, guest speaker, Year
12 assembly etc.

a) Prior to event
You will need to liaise with the client/s to ascertain their production requirements for the event,
set up and test all equipment, within a specified deadline

Your teacher will observe you participating in the all aspects of the event (prior to event, during
event, after event) and will complete the Teacher Observation Checklist

- Design an event booking sheet/contract that is completed with your client/s– Appendix C
- Create a schedule that demonstrates how you prioritise work tasks and establish deadlines
for the event. You will need to create a schedule that includes details of prior to event,
during event, after event - Appendix D
- Set up for the event

b) During Event
You will need to be an active member of the production team. This may involve audio, lighting,
staging or vision, ushering patrons to their seats, collecting tickets, monitoring a doorway,
taking customers’ orders in the canteen, etc.

c) After Event
You will need to ensure the venue is left clean and tidy and ready for the next event.

Ask your client to complete the Client Satisfaction Survey – Appendix E

Complete the Post Production Self Reflection – Appendix F
