Theme: People’s Life

1. Drifter : a person who is continually moving from place to place, without any fixed home
or job.
Example: He’s such a drifter that’s why he can’t settle down anywhere.

2. Manners: behaviour that is considered to be polite in a particular society or culture.

Example: It’s a bad manner to interrupt other people’s conversations.

3. Materialistic: excessively concerned with material possessions / money-oriented.

Example: Youngsters these days are very materialistic as they only seem to be interested in
luxury lifestyle.

4. Social: relating to human society, the interaction of the individual and the group, or the
welfare of human beings as members of society.
Example: Emma is a great students and she has a healthy social life.

5. Standard of living: the level of wealth and comfort people have in a particular society.
Example: Our country has a very high standard of living.
