FESTIVAL DANCE GUIDELINES:

MECHANICS
1. Concept or theme for each participant is left to their own interpretation of what is relevant
to the festival they represent. Costumes and performances must depict and represent the
festival clearly.
2. The participants should be a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 60 performers excluding the
musicians or all students from their section.
3. You can use live music or canned music. Performances will be for a minimum of 5 minutes
and maximum of 7 minutes including exit. Counting starts at the first note of music or the first
move.
4. The chairperson of the board of judges shall break the tie, if any. The decision of the board of
judges is Final and irrevocable.
