• Share empirical �ndings through presentations, high-quality

research papers and non-technical articles
• In�uence the policy debate by working on big economic and
social challenges facing Australia using detailed household-
level and �rm-level datasets
• Work closely with world-class researchers?
• Demonstrate leadership by advising a dynamic team of
researchers
• Produce high-quality research papers, journal articles,
research notes and opinion editorials

Skills and experience required

• Minimum four years’ work experience in public policy,

industry, or academia.
• Minimum honours degree (or equivalent) in economics,
econometrics, or �nance (or related �elds). Postgraduate
training is looked upon favourably.
• Experience in applied microdata research
• Ability to use programming languages such as R, STATA or
Python. Experience in other programming languages is
advantageous but not essential.
• Strong communication skills
