Hotstar and Netflix are two prominent streaming platforms offering a wide range of content to

evaluates various aspects of both platforms to aid in decision-making for potential users and
stakeholders.

shows, and Documentaries, catering to diverse tastes and preferences. Hotstar, on the
other hand, offers a mix of regional and international content, including Indian TV
shows, movies, sports, and original series.

Both Platforms invest significantly in original content production. Netflix has gained
recognition for its high-quality originals across various genres, while Hotstar focuses
on producing content tailored to the Indian Audience, including originals in regional
languages.

Netflix offers Tiered subscription plans based on video quality and the number of
screens, providing flexibility to users. Hotstar offers a freemium model with a

2.1 ABOUT INDUSTRY
OTT Stands for “Over-The-Top”. OTT describes the delivery of video content and other media
services over the internet, by passing traditional cable or satellites television providers. OTT
technology allows the consumers to access a wide range of content directly through an internet-
connected devices. Certainly, it offers tremendous flexibility and on-demand viewing option.

OTT stand for paid subscriptions is the most common way for OTT services to be monetized,
however, there are exceptions. Genres of content that many top OTT platform showcase
through the digital source of the internet include movie, audio advertising and albums, short
documentaries, periodic reality shows, exclusive premium shows, live tv etc. The main industry
player examples are Netflix, Disney, Hotstar, Apple music, Spotify, Amazon prime.

The content is delivered in small data packets over the internet-decoded-and played on the
user’s device in real time. When a user tunes in a program, it is transmitted in small data packets
using streaming protocols like HLS or DASH. These packets are then reassembled and decoded
in real-time on the user’s device, enabling seamless playback.

OTT services often need a subscription fee, offering a vast library of on-demand content, live
TV, or both. This method of content delivery gives viewers the flexibility to watch what they
want, when they want, without the need for traditional cable or satellite TV services.

As an essential element of SWOT. A company's strength is its assets to plan its
expansion. Netflix has several strengths that make them largest streaming services
Netflix has a strong brand character and has come a ménage name by substituting some
top- rated TV programs. The company has also shown exponential growth in recent
times. Netflix has a global presence and is affordable to numerous Southeast Asian
countries. It has given them an advantage in the continually changing request script.
Netflix's original pictures and television shows offer ample openings to expiring
filmmakers. The followership enjoys the mode of the content presented by the platform
as their original content. The company has high rigidity. Netflix continually modifies
its service, grounded on the request and the observers' choice. It's the reason Netflix is
presently high on demand.

Most companies have several sins alongside their strengths. The companies may take
strategies grounded to work on their sins. Though Netflix is one of the top companies,
there's a particular weakness that's working as an interference to its growth
Netflix has limited brand, which tolls upon their profit. The debts of the company are
also adding. There’s a lack of original content in several countries. thus, they've lower
demand for high price subscriptions in some countries. The company substantially
depends on its North American client base. Netflix lacks sound client care directors,
which harms client service, leading to dropped client satisfaction.

The request is continually changing with increased demands. which help company
aspiring for substantial growth. The need for OTT platforms is also rising, which is a
good sign for company. So, some of the significant openings that the establishment can
grasp from the current request are As Netflix has a brand character, the great demand
for OTT platforms in the current request can allow
the brand to expand.
Since Netflix is signing up for exclusive Netflix-only content, they can bring in other
product lines, including videotape games, ridiculous books, and more.
Netflix is formerly a global presence. They can strengthen their subscriber base by a
strategic cooperation with original requests that will help them to capture the original
request. The company can choose to work on new generalities that are better than other
