The Construction Safety Campaign cannot survive without finance.
We are not grant funded by any local authority and rely solely on donations and
affiliations from workers, individuals and organisations that believe there is a need for
our campaign.

Affiliation is invited from all organisations, Joint Shop Stewards Committees, Trade
Union Branches and Organisations, Political Parties, voluntary and community groups.

 APPEAL FOR FUNDS
The CSC continues to campaign against the criminal injustice done to
Construction Workers Health and Safety.

When we first began in 1988 we were the first to raise the demand that
bosses who kill workers should serve a term in jail. Many others from both
public and private sectors are now taking up our demands that we deserve
far better health and safety at work. New ways of working has intensified the
pressure on all groups of workers as such workplace stress is having a
severe detrimental effect on all of us. Relatives of those killed at work have
joined us to demand a safety bill, which will make it far easier to jail guilty
employers whose recklessness leads to workers deaths.

We led the way in banning asbestos imports into the UK. This now has led to
specify changes to the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations. While these
changes are welcome they don’t go far enough. So we require further
protective measures be built into these regulations.

We need to demand that legislation be enacted so as to provide for roving

safety reps with the full and extended rights that we require to do our jobs.

We need resources to continue our work so that we can publicise the

injustice’s carried out against the health and safety. We require funds so that
we can set up a web site to enable our work to be widely publicised. We need
to have workers employed by the CSC so that we can operate an office more
effectively. All this takes money. Money we have not got at the moment.

Recent revelations of blacklisting shows how far employers will go so as to

prevent workers getting organised. Don’t let this or fear of the economic
recession put us off of fighting for what we deserve which is better safety and
security from for us and our families

possible, as without your support we cannot fully carry out the work of the
