MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT

THIRD QUARTER LEAST MASTERED COMPETENCY

INTERVENTION ACTIVITY NARRATIVE REPORT

April 3, 2024
I. INTRODUCTION
For some reason, Mathematics is one of the unloved subjects. Many students have
low grades and lack interest in the subject. Thus, teachers need to know who among
the students are experiencing difficulties with and make an intervention that will help
them to overcome these. This intervention activity will enable the learners from
different levels the opportunity to improve their performance and capacity in the least
mastered competency of the quarter.
This activity may be the bridge to reach the learning gap cause from the past
years. and the learning mechanism that DepEd intended to strengthen the
foundational, social, and other relevant skills necessary to actualize the intent of the
basic education curriculum in the field of mathematics.

II. ACCOMPLISHMENT
Upon the collection of outputs, checking of the outputs were done immediately
to identify learners that encounter difficulties in answering the activities earlier, the
teacher re-teaches the least mastered competency and were given supplemental
worksheet to support the low scores as intervention activity.
For the students who were not able to submit their outputs due to their
absences despite the teacher’s encouragement to avoid absences. A learning activity
sheets are ready for them with made-easy/self-explanatory for the learners to answer.

III. PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED

Low scores for some regular attendees and Late submissions of outputs and
absenteeism of the students of some learners.

IV. SOLUTION/S MADE

The teacher constantly reminded the learner to submit their outputs on or before the
deadline, a constant encouragement and technical assistance (re-teaching) were
provided, aided by monitoring thru Messenger and text/calls to concerned parents
and for some learners who were not able to show up, the parents are called upon to
have a school visitation and if they are not available a home visitation was done as
soon as possible.
