• Literature is a writing or written work that has certain values such as artistic and
aesthetic that are usually related and able to influence a person's feelings, thoughts, and
experiences during or after reading it.
• Literary work is a literary work in which there is artistic and aesthetic value, where in
writing it is not uncommon to use rich and imaginative language to convey the message
of the message in the writing.
• Non-literary work focuses on information in the form of facts or practical purposes that
we usually find in reports, news articles, and can also be information from a film based
on a true story etc.
• Some of the reasons for reading literary work include being able to develop language
skills, developing imagination and empathy, understanding culture and history and also
improving analytical skills, this is because literary work often introduces readers to
different perspectives, understandings, and emotions, so that unconscious can build
empathy and communication for a person.
