1 electric power steering system: (EPS)

it a type of power steering system which helps to makes the steering of vehicle effort less by multiplying
the force applied by driver through the steering wheel. Which results a smooth and quick directional
change of the vehicle stability, tracking and immunity.

It consist of two types of parts mechanical parts and electronic unit. The mechanical parts include the
steering wheel, steering column, torsion bar, gears mechanism, power steering motor, gear and rack,
etc. and the electronic parts include the steering wheel, torque sensor, the wheel speed sensors, motor
angle sensor and ECU (electronic control unit) etc.

In this system by considering the parameters like the torque or effort that the driver is applying at the
steering wheel, current vehicle speed and the current angle of the motor. The system controller which is
ECU (electronic control unit) bases on certain calculations decides how much torque should supply to
steer the wheels of the vehicles.

Responsibilities in EPS:

Performing unit and integration testing using white box structural coverage analysis technique

This process include

1 creating software unit test plan (SUP) for each unit

2 performing code coverage analysis as per unit test plan

3 creating test script (PTU) which consist of test cases as per the test plan for each unit based on
ISO26262

4 setting MCDC conditions

5 executing develop test causes using RTRT testing tool

6 preparing software unit test result (SUTR) on bases of RTRT test report (XRD)

7 detecting defects and reporting

2 flight navigation system:

The Flight Navigation System is an avionics system which provides direct data communication link
between the pilot and the air traffic controller. The communication include air traffic control clearance,
pilot requests and position reporting. It support pilot piloting the aircraft from one place to another
place without getting lose and breaking lows applying to aircraft and also during landing in bad weather
conditions with precise location information

1 ADF(automatic direction finder) and NDB’S (nondirectional beaker )

2 ILS( instrumental landing system)

3 TCAS( traffic alert and collision avoidance system)

4 ELT (emergency location transmitter)

Responsibilities of navigation system

Performing block box testing using equivalence class partitioning and boundary value analysis technique.

In that
