 The Banshees of Inisherin
The Banshees of Inisherin, ye movie story hai Colm and Padraic ki
who lived on an island called Inisherin and used to be best of friends,
but suddenly one day Colm decided to not be friends with Padraic
and agar Padraic usse baat karne ki koshish bhi karega than there will
be some consequences.
Is 2022 me release hui adult dark comedy movie ko sab hi se kaafi
appreciation mila and movie ye deserve bhi karti hai because of how
good it is.
Ye movie aapko different perspectives provide karti hai for example
Colm chahta tha to be someone jiske kaam ki vajah se log use yaad
rakhe even after his death whereas Padraic was someone who
wanted to be remembered as he lives. Movie hume ek painful truth
bhi convey karti hai that a person on whom you rely and trust the
most can someday simply choose to disappear from your life.
Is movie ke sabhi characters kaafi acche se likhe gaye hai and same
goes with its dialogues. Sabhi ki acting lajavab thi and personally
mujhe Barry Keohgan ka kaam sabse accha laga jinhe aapne pehle
Dunkirk, Eternals and The Batman ke post credit me bhi dekha hoga.
Movie funny hone ke baad bhi apne saath ek udaasi leke chalti hai
and if you don’t mind it much than aapko ye movie zaroor dekhni
chahiye cause you’ll have a great time.
 Why “The Banshees of Inisherin”??
Movie ka naam based hai on title of the song written by Colm “The
Banshees of Inisherin”.
And jab Colm se pucha gaya why the name “The Banshees of
Inisherin” beacause there were no Banshees on Inisherin to uska
javaab tha ki use lagta hai ki vaha Banshees hai bas vo ab chillaake
maut ki poorvsuchnaa nahi deti and uska ye bolna kahi na kahi
humaare
And also Banshees could be a metaphor for the gunshots that can be
heard on Inisherin of Irish civil war jo ki 1923 me hua tha which is
exactly the year when this story takes place.
And while thinking and reading about the possible explanation of the
title it came to my notice how smartly the parallels were drawn
between the Irish civil war and friendship of Colm and Padraic and
how Banshees were present on both the sides the only difference
was one was silent indicating the cold war between the two best
friends who suddenly stopped being one and other one could be
heard from a mile being the Civil War.

Ye movie take place karti hai 1923 me which was a period of Irish
Civil War.
Banshees Irish Folklore me bola jaata hai ek female spirit ko jo kisi ke
marne se pehle roti hai, chillati hai, ya fir ek vocal artform perform
karti in mourning of the dead known as Keening.
Now Colm an islander ek song likhta hai “The Banshees of Inisherin”
stating that he believes vaha banshees hai bas vo chillaake maut ki
poorvasoochna nahi deti.
Aur uska ye kehna dimaag me lata hai us mysterious old women jisne
deaths hone se pehle hi unhe predict kar liya tha and so she can be
the Banshee of Inisherin.
And civil war ki vajah se distant island se kaafi baar gunshots ki
awaaz bhi aaya karti indicating someone’s death and so unhe bhi
Banshee bola ja sakta hai but not the silent one.
Inisherin ke banshee silent hone ka karan can be the indication of
cold war between Colm and Padraic and the other island had roaring
Banshees because of the civil war and that’s how beautifully parallels
were drawn in the film.
