Production (JIP)
Basic Understanding
• That the aggregate plan (AP) is stage planning beginning Where result is the MPS
(Top Level Production Plan) and is carried out by the Top Level Business Plan.
• AP noticed capacity and capability company .
• AP analysis is performed in group product ( product family ) with aggregate units .

Overview of Planning Level
• Short-range plans (Detailed plans)
– Machine loading
– Job assignments
• Intermediate plans (General levels) or medium-range (aggregate) plans
– Employment
– output
• Long-range plans
– Long-term capacity
– Locations / layouts
– Product/Process design
WHY Aggregate Plan?
• More details _ _ difficult obtained For more time _ long
• Det a il bring Lots uncertainty : aggregation performed _ addressed reduce variability
– Total clothing demand more A little contain comparison bias request T-shirts ,
pants and shirts .
• If any variability why bother making plan details , however input can change .
– For flexible plan _
