1.1 Range of functions

The Ferrocontrol Service CF-Card is the easy way to create and restore backups of the FIPC’s
system disk.

This Service CF-Card is additionally equipped with tools for using due servicing the FIPC by
qualified personnel.

2.1 Booting Service CF-Card

To boot from Service CF-Card please proceed as follows:

1. Turn on the FIPC

2. During POST-Messages press “F11” to display the boot menu. This enables you to
select the boot device for this boot.
3. Navigate to the Service CF-Card using the arrow keys and confirm with “Return”
4. Windows XP embedded is now starting from CF-Card, the Ferrocontrol Image
Restore Tool will run automatically when Windows boot is finished , see figure 1.

To switch menu dialogs to english, select “Language: English” in dropdown menu.

To continue Ferrocontrol Image Restore press “Next”.

To activate the Service Menu press “Cancel”. In the following password dialog you can
enter the service password to activate the Service Menu.
Alternatively you can type the password for rebooting the FIPC.

For further information see chapter 3.1.

2.2 Restore Images

To restore a previously created image start the FIPC as described in chapter 2.1.
Select a previously saved image then press „Next“.

All data on harddisk C: will be overwritten by taking this action!

This operation is irreversible!
Caution! Backup your data if you ´re not shure wether you require them for future use!

Pressing „Next“ will restore the selected image to harddisk.

Now the image will be restored to the harddisk. This process may take a several time.

After successful recovery you ´ll see the following message window.

When finished, press the button "Done". In the following password dialog you can enter the
service password to activate the Service Menu. Alternatively you can type the password for
rebooting the FIPC. Doing so, the FIPC will boot with the just restored image.

3.2 Create image

To create an image of your local harddisk select “Backup Script” in the Service Menu.
The following screen appears.

Creating a new image will overwrite previous stored images on the Service CF-
Card.

If you want to keep your backup (image) copy it to another location.

Caution!
Overwriting images is irreversible!

Press any key to start an automatic backup of harddisk C: to the Service CF-Card.
If the backup process is completed, press any key to return to service menu.

Location of the new created image files is folder „Backup“ at the Service CF-Card.

You can choose to restart or shutdown the FIPC in the Service menu.
4.1 Network settings

By selecting „Network Connections“ in Service-Menu you can configure the Network interfaces.

4.2 Configure Proxy Server

To configure the Proxy-Server select item „Internet Properties“ in Service menu, then adjust
the settings corresponding to your network.

4.3 Netviewer one2one

With Netviewer the PC can be managed remote controlled.

Start Netviewer from Service Menu and enter the Session number which is acquainted to you
by the service staff.

Press „Verbinden“ to start the session.

If requested, press “Ja” to confirm that the screen content may transmitted to your advisor.

Important functions are shown on the Mini panel in Show-Mode (always in foreground).
If you ´ll be prompted for, please enable remote control by service staff via Mini-Panel.

To determine a session, press „ “ in the right upper corner in Mini-Panel.
