Ans: It's Relatable.

No matter who reads this book, I think they relate with some character in some way.
The two main characters go through the entire spectrum of emotions.

Q2: The title is taken from the Shakespeare Play “Julius Caeser “ where Ceaser quotes “ The fault, dear
Brutus is not in our stars, / But in ourselves, that we are underlings."

Q3: John Green is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of
Katherines, Paper Towns, The Fault in Our Stars (He dedicated his novel to Esther Earl a young youtube
girl who died due to thyroid cancer) and Turtles All the Way Down

Q4: The theme /central idea of " Fault in Our Stars" is that love goes on through hard times. The two
main characters, Hazel and Gus were both struggling the battle of cancer. It seemed that throughout the
whole book and movie that there love still grew even though they were both physically becoming weak.

Q5: Summary: Hazel Lancaster, age 16, and Augustus Waters, age 17, meet at a support group for teens
with cancer. Hazel has thyroid cancer that’s spread to her lungs and Augustus had bone cancer which
cost him a leg. They fall in love immediately due to their mutual intelligence and skepticism of the adult
world’s attempt to hide reality from them. However, they both know that she is dying so he tries his
hardest to win her over despite her hesitation because she doesn’t want anyone else to suffer when she
dies like her parents did after losing another child; “I’m a grenade”. Augustus arranged a meeting where
Hazel would meet author of her Favourite Book “an imperial affliction” by Peter Van Houton, Peter was
drunk and was mean towards both of them so the meeting went unpleasent but They both were head
over heals for eachother. Augustus tells Hazel that his cancer has returned and spread throughout his
body. He is dying, and there’s no cure for it. Hazel stays by Augustus’ side as he deteriorates physically,
emotionally, mentally, and finally dies in the hospital after a month of suffering from pain medication.

Q6: Quote 1: "Oh, I wouldn't mind, Hazel Grace. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you."
Opinion: ( Augustus was so in love with hazel that he wouldn’t mind getting hurt by hazel cause that’s
what love teaches us )
-Augustus, Chapter 11.
Quote 2: "Maybe okay will be our' always.'"
Opinion: ( Every couple has their moto of living together but hazel and augustus chooses OKAY as both
of em were ill and they never knew when there time of death will surprise them )
-Augustus, Chapter 5
Quote 3: "As he read, I fell in love with the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once."
Opinion: ( They were on the plane to amsterdam and Augustus was reading Hazel’s favourite book to
her, that’s when she realize that she has fallen for Augustus Completely )
-Hazel, Chapter 8
Q7: Augustus Waters: confident, charming, and caring. Gus is handsome and he fears Oblivion, his
signature charm is endearing rather than arrogant. He is driven by his selflessness and empathy,
especially when it comes to Hazel and Isaac. Gus is honest and vulnerable, and never fails to say what's
on his mind.
Q8: The Fault in Our Stars is a perfect book. Full of heartbreak. Terrible, terrible heartbreak. I don't
usually like the kind of pain that there is in this book. But in this one I wanted more of it. Which is kind of
strange. I also wish the pain hadn't been there. But it was just so good. There isn't only pain, though.
There are a whole lot of sweet moments. And funny moments
