    THE SCRIPT
    ACTORS Krystel EDOUARD-BETSY Child who wants to eat something which does not appear to be safe Anisha PANCHOO Classmate of Krystel Divya JUGMOHUN Head mistress of school / Teacher Sabrina DAVID: Krystels mother Situation: The play takes place during recess in a school yard. Krystel wants

    to eat yoghurt which she bought earlier at the canteen. However the yoghurt seems to have a strange color, a bizarre smell and taste bitter. Anisha, her classmate comes to her and advises her not to eat the yoghurt because of the unusual color. asks her is she has read the expiry date. Then comes the Teacher Divya who warns the child about the strange smell and Finally, her mother, Sabrina reminds her of what she has told her about food poisoning and its consequences on health and forbids her to further eat the yoghurt. The play ends on a Creole song which says: Ena Malade Ladans. Special note: the dialogues will be in a slam style with

    rhymes and rhythm.

    Setting: After recess in a school yard. Enter Krystel and Anisha. Krystel has yoghurt in her hand Krystel: Oh!!! I am so hungry!!! The bread that mum gave me to eat this morning is not enough! bought this yoghurt. Anisha: Oh! Will you share some with me Im feeling hungry too!!! Krystel: Ok I will give you some but only a bit okay. Yu are Luckily I had some money and I

    sometimes too gourmand you! They open the yoghurt cup Anisha: Ouh! Whats that awful smell? Smells like dead rat!!! Krystel: Yeah! It seems to come from the yoghurt cup but I am so hungry. Never mind it must be a new flavor of yoghurt. Anisha: My mom always say: What good does not smell, is not well Krystel: What do you mean? Anisha: We should not eat this yoghurt. Since it does not smell good how can it be good? Its probably gate! Kryatel: you are always afraid anyway Im going to eat it and you will watch me eat!!!

    Enter Divya, the Head mistress / Teacher Anisha: Oh Mrs Divya, please talk to krystel. She wants to eat

    yoghurt which smells bad! Divya: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! KRYSTEL! COME HERE! Krystel: Yes Miss? Divya: What is going on with this yoghurt? Aniusha tells me its

    smelling bad. Krystel: It is just a new flavour and Anisha is lying miss. Divya: Give me this cup (she takes the cup of yoghurt and smells it) Ouh! This smell is Pi, pi, pi. And you want to eat this? My girl didnt we talk last time about things you buy to eat? Didnt I tell you if a food smells bad you should not eat it? And look! It is not only the smell but also the colour of the yoghurt seems brownish. Krystel: Maybe its chocolate flavor, miss Divya: You see this resemble chocolate Krystel? I think this

    yoghurt is outdated. Krystel: Outdated? What does it mean?

    Divya: Ou zam ou suiv dans classe ou!!! Didnt I say that when you buy things like milk of soft drinks you should check the expiry date on the product before you eat. (showing to Krystel) See, there is the expiry date and as I was suspecting this yoghurt has expired, meaning it cannot be consumed after the date written on the cup. Krystel: but miss I didnt know, I ate a spoonful just now!!! Anisha: So la tet dir sa miss Divya : Oh my god !!! Lets call your mother,, you have to got to hospital immediately !

    Enter Sabrina, Krystel Mother (panicked) Sabrina: Where is my daughter, where is krystel? Tell me what happened to my daughter? Krystel: Im here mum Sabrina: (scolding her) what have you been up to again you

    mischievous child. Divya and Anisha explain what has happened to Sabrina. Sabrina: Oh krystel, diddnt I tell you not to buy anything at the canteen? Dont I give you enough food and fruits everyday?

    Krystel: Ma! But it is not enough and I am hungry! Sabrina: You are always hungry!! Gourma va! When you ate the youghurt what tastge it had? Krystel: it tasted bitter. Sabrina: Ayoyo! What kind of child I have. When something tastes bitter my child, didnt I tell you not to eat or youll fall sick? You never listen ok then I will take you to hospital immediately mo fer dokter met 10 pikures dands to poum. Krystel: Non ma! Please!!! Sabrina / Divya / Anisha: Next time think about this before you eat anything because Song: Ena malad ladans. ek
