INTRODUCTION:
Teenage pregnancy is a major public health issue with far-reaching social, economic, and
health consequences. Adolescents who become pregnant usually face challenges completing their
schooling, finding steady employment, and achieving financial independence. Furthermore,
teenage mothers and their infants are more likely to have negative health outcomes such as
preterm birth, low birth weight, and postpartum depression. Understanding the factors that
influence adolescent pregnancy is crucial for developing effective prevention and intervention
strategies.
A number of individual, familial, and societal factors have been identified as impacting
adolescent pregnancy risk, including socioeconomic status, educational attainment, access to
comprehensive sex education, and the availability of contraceptive services.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

This survey seeks to answer the general question: what are people’s perspectives about the
growing number of teenage pregnancies.
1. What is the respondents’ impression of premarital sex?

2. What are the respondents’ perspectives on the causes of teenage pregnancy in terms of
various factors?
3. What is the primary concern with early pregnancy?

METHODOLOGY
Research Design

Sample
The respondents of this study were senior highschool students from LPIHS. They are chosen
as respondents because the researchers can immediately collect data. The researcher used volunteer
sampling. Volunteer sample, as defined by keamey 2004),Girls living in lower socio-economic
circumstances are more likely than their wealthier peers to become pregnant.

Data Gathering
Information about teenage pregnancies has been collected by the researchers.
Following data collection, they compiled a list of potential outcomes and utilized it to build a
survey tool that employed a Likert scale. The 4-point Likert scale that makes up the self-made
instrument is meant to gauge the respondents' perceived level of agreement.
Once the tools are ready, the researchers will approach the class adviser or officers to
request authorization to carry out their study. When the respondents have finished answering the
survey, they will be gathered by the survey administrators. To facilitate analysis, the gathered
data were tabulated.

Data Analysis
Data were collected and recorded in an electronic spreadsheet before being evaluated
and used descriptive statistic(mean, standard deviation,etc.). To interpret the outcomes.
