IN SOME SOCIETIES, MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE

DECIDING TO LIVE ALONE.

WHY DO YOU THINK THIS IS? DO THE ADVANTAGES
OF LIVING ALONE OUTWEIGH THE
DISADVANTAGES?
__________________________________________
1st question: What are the reasons, and why do you
think this is happening?
Guaranteed privacy-complete freedom-Focusing on
work and career
Decreasing common responsibility by delaying
partnering-family and friends
2nd questions: Do pros exceed cons? Yes
Cons: occasional psychological problems-
loneliness-1 against stress
Pros:
complete freedom-freedom of actions-flexibility in
terms of time, limited visitors.
Less distractions- focusing on work and career
goals- self-control.
Nowadays, in some societies, it is becoming
common trend to live separately from family and
friends. This trend can generally be linked to two
reasons, and I believe it is a change for the better.
There are several primary reasons behind this
happening. Firstly, people living with families and
friends, have high tendency to get distracted by
some factors, such as limited space to lead a normal
life, households bothering and lack of private time
to focus on something. Being distracted constantly
these people might not be able to focus on their
work and studies for an extended period of time.
Eventually, they tend to think they have no option
but to live separately. Secondly, arguments are
common in families and among together-living
friends owing to distinctions between characters,
lifestyles and interests. Many family members often
argue just because they don’t share the sme
interests. Having happened often, these
misunderstandings might lead to poor relationships
which bring choices to moving out to lead a lonely
life.
Despite some psychological and financial difficulties
living solo might bring, in my opinion, this tendency
serves people mostly for good. One great positive
side of which would be that living alone offers
people freedom of time, choices, diet, money. That
is, individuals might have a great opportunity to
choose the people around them, live the lifestyle
they want and spend their money on their own
priorities. Not only does it satisfy them every time
they make choices themselves, but also, they tend
to learn how to allocate and spend their time and
money productively. Being able to concentrate on
priorities for an extended period of time while living
solo can be another huge benefit. A good number
of people nowadays struggle to focus on their work
and studies mostly due to distractions of people
around. Since people are more conscious when they
are alone, they can work and study at home
productively.
In conclusion, I believe that although people are
making this decision due to some household-
associated distractions and differences between
interests, it has greater merits than its some minor
drawbacks, especially in terms of freedom and
being able to concentrate.
