INT. LIVING ROOM
Amanda is pacing back and forth in the living room, vividly
annoyed. Mandy enters looking somewhat sleepish.
AMANDA
(Crossing her arms)
Mandu where have you been?
MANDU
(Avoiding eye contact)
Uh, just.... Out.

AMANDA
Just out? You were supposed to get
groceries on your way back from
work! It's nearly midnight Mandu!
MANDU
(Sighs)
I'm sorry, I completely forgot
AMANDA
(Voice rising)
Forgot? How could you forget
something so important? I told you
we needed those groceries for
dinner tomorrow.!
MANDU
I know, I know. It just slipped my
mind.
AMANDA
(Frustrated)
That's not good enough. Mandu this
isn't the first time you've been so
careless. I can't rely on you for
anything!
MANDU
(Defensive)
Come on, it was an honest mistake.
I'll go get them first thing in the
morning, okay?
AMANDA
(Shaking her head)
No it's not okay. You need to start
taking responsibility for your
actions. I'm tired of always
picking pieces because you can't be
bothered to remember remember the
simplest things!
2.

MANDU
(Feeling guilty)
I said I'm sorry Amanda. I'll make
it up to you I promise.
AMANDA
(Softening slightly)
I hope so, Mandu. I really do.
The tension lingers as Mandu realizes the depth of Amanda's
frustration.
