ST. Dom SCHOOL, MAKURDI.

FIVE(5) YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN (DOMINICAN DREAM 2025)

VISION STATEMENT

Fr. Murphy’s vision is to provide a holistic formation for learners with the
combination of academic, spiritual and human dimensions whose roots are in
Catholic traditions and beliefs. He started with St. Dominic’s Nursery & Primary
School, Makurdi and now St. Dominick’s High School, Makurdi, and in the
future, he hopes to delve into higher education. All these have been achieved
through donations from family, friends, local support and international donors,
together with prudent management of human, material and financial resources.

MISSION STATEMENT

To reform and educate young people who will conspicuously exhibit and
perpetuate academic, moral and spiritual excellence. Our intent is to create a
feeling of “The sky can always be our starting point” in the ambassadors of the
great St. Dominick’s High School, Makurdi. We hope to achieve this through the
expertise of our dynamic and prudent staff to the glory of God.

THE TITAN MOTIVATION

In Greek mythology, the mighty Titans were a powerful race that ruled the
world before Olympians; they were immortal giants of incredible strength and
knowledge. Although we are not Greeks and do not live by the Greek
mythology, we adopt the combo of the characteristics of the Titans. We adopt
and promote the characteristics of strength, determination, knowledge and
Godliness. If our students grow, live and are motivated by these virtues, we
have no doubt that they will rule the world.
