The Boy and the Actress

Rhyming Couplet Ideas by Anon

See the looking of the boy,
I think he's angry at the kilroy.

He finds it hard to see the stone,

Overshadowed by the shiny bone.

Who is that crawling near the panda?

I think she'd like to eat the manda.

She is but a handsome acting,

Admired as she sits upon a subcontracting.

Her weird car is just a camel,

It needs no gas, it runs on duhamel.

She's not alone she brings a flower,

a pet otter, and lots of tower.

The otter likes to chase a chicken,

Especially one that's in the bikin.

The boy shudders at the nocturnal kangaroo

He want to leave but she wants the blue.

One day at a pet shop,

I met a man selling crisps,
For money he wanted to swap,
But I really wanted some wisps.

"Got any wisps?" asked I.

"For that's how I'll spend my money."
"No wisps here!" said the guy.
He seemed to find it quite funny.

"We've got some lovely apples,

I'll give you a very fine price."
"I'd rather have some dapples."
The man blinked rapidly thrice.

The man seemed exceptionally intelligent,

And his manner was strangely amused.
He wasn't what I would call unintelligent,
Great disdain he noticeably oozed.

Like others, he thought I was odd,

Some say I'm a bit scary.
Still he gave me a courteous nod,
As if he thought I was plenty visionary.

So in search of my goal I departed,

But before the pet shop could I leave,
The man came running full-hearted,
"I can help you I believe."

"Crisps, wisps, you shall find.

Apples, dapples, you can get.
You must now open your mind,
And get down to The Corn Market.

So to The Corn Market I decided to go,

In search of the wisps I craved.
The winds it did eerily blow.
But I felt that the day could be saved.

There were stalls selling cakes,

Chips in many shades.
There were even stalls selling cupcakes
People were scattered from many trades

I was greeted by a peculiar lady,

She seemed to be rather scary
I couldn't help thinking she might be quite shady.
I wondered if she was at all visionary.

Before I could open my mouth,

She shouted, "For you, I have some wisps!"
I headed towards her, to the south,
Past some apples and crisps.

"But how did you know?" I asked,

"Do you want them or not?" she did say.
Silently, the wisps she passed.
Then vanished before I could pay.

As I walked away I hard a crackle

Or was it, perhaps, a hushed cackle?
