Dear AD Reid,

I want to say thank you for the amazing opportunity you gave me to intern for you it was informational and

nothing short of great . I enjoyed gaining the experience alongside my other classmates as well as yourself and

the entire Athletic Department. You are greatly appreciated for even allowing me to come work hard and still

leave for other obligations. I learned more about other sports as well as what it truly takes to run athletics from

equipment to financials. I would often times look at the athletic department in a basketball capacity but it’s so

much more than that doesn’t get talked about from taking care of all student athletes and staffing. Now my lens

is more from a program perspective than how it used to be. I can say over the last few months working with

you I have become more confident in what I say, managing a work load with a quick turnaround and how to

work as a team with delegation. Although there were times when it seem liked we had a ton of work you made

sure we had fun doing so even when we’re exhausted. There are times where I sit and assess and think I

could've been more productive in certain situations. This opportunity alone gave me so much knowledge from

a business aspect and the lens that you view things is more than a game and what people think or say your

there to make sure the job is done and the way the athletic departments morale wants it to go. Now don’t get

me wrong you love to see a Winston win but sometimes it doesn’t always work that way but your always

working to make sure everything is back up properly. In the end it’ll all pay off where you will be running a

department one day. I’m just thankful I was able to intern for a few months get to know you more and the

entire department you all truly have been a light in my life. Again, I want to say thank you this opportunity

meant a lot to me from being a young black man in America I learned more than just sports I learned things I

can use in life from you.

Best Regards,
