Among the more exotic cultures are avocados, grown near Byblos, and hashish (important
culture in the Bekaa valley). Lebanese agriculture, which offers fertile land, landscaped
terraces and fresh and healthy products, has faced several challenges in recent years.

CULTURES :

Cuisine is one of the main components of culture in Lebanon. The same applies to patriotism
(the Lebanese flag is omnipresent) or reverence towards the army or religion. But it is also a
country where the walls are tenacious. The place of religion is essential, and it manifests
continuously.

. CUSTOMS

For a man, it is advisable not to shake hands with a Muslim woman, especially if she is a little
old : contact is not allowed by Islam (and especially not the kiss). Salvation is then done by
carrying the right hand on the heart. – Invitations : the Lebanese gladly invite.

WOMEN’S CLOTHING :

For your clothes, know that the climate in Lebanon is Mediterranean-style, that temperatures
are easily close to 35°C and that the sun shines in a beautiful blue sky for 300 days a year.
You will therefore have to bring light clothes to help you withstand the heat.

Holidays and public holidays

Most public holidays correspond to religious holidays, in abundance, by the number of


communities present in Lebanon.

Catholic and Orthodox (two dates). – Easter Monday : Catholic and Orthodox (two

[26/04, 07 :54] Eunicee : The Yacouba people, also known as the Dan, are a West African
ethnic group primarily living in the central-western region of Ivory Coast, near the cities of
Man, Danané, Biankouma, Zouan-Hounien, Sipilou, Sangouiné… The Yacouba are known for
their rich culture and ancient history, as well as their renowned craftsmanship. Their
traditional social structure is based on patrilineal lineages. The traditional dance practiced by
the Yacouba is the stilt dance, which holds sacred significance. The Yacouba diet mainly
consists of rice and cassava, which are their staple foods.

As such, presented here is one of their staple foods, which is « sauce longuaire, » also known
as « kple ba, » accompanied by placali made from cassava paste.
« Nigeria is a country in West Africa, precisely towards the Gulf of Guinea. It is bordered to
the north by Niger, to the northeast by Chad, to the south by Equatorial Guinea and the Gulf
of Guinea, to the east by Cameroon, and to the west by Benin. Its area is 923,770 square
kilometers, and its population is estimated at around 213,401,323 inhabitants. It is highly
diverse, with several peoples including the Yoruba, the Hausa, the Igbo, and the Fulani. The
Yoruba people are located in the southwest of Nigeria. They account for 20.6% of the
population. Their language is the dominant language of the country, followed by Igbo
(14.8%), Hausa (18.3%), and Fulani (7.9%). » : « The Yoruba people come from the Osun
State in Nigeria. Oduduwa is considered the progenitor of the Yoruba. Each ruler of the

The Yoruba represent approximately 25 million of Nigeria’s population. Yoruba are known for
their sublime and appealing attire, consisting of a boubou, which is a white shirt with a round
neckline, a tobí, which is a long skirt, a wrap-around cloth called iró around the waist, and a
gele (headscarf) as headgear.
