It is an old internet that only allows people to read from the internet. First stage worldwide
linking web pages and hyperlink. Web is use as “information portal”. It uses table to positions and align
elements on page.

Mp3.com

A web site operated by CNET Networks publishing tabloid-style news items about digital music and
artists, songs, services, and technologies. It is better known for its original incarnation as a legal, free
music-sharing service, named after the popular music file format MP3, popular with independent
musicians for promoting their work. That service was shut down on December 2, 2003, by CNET,
which, after purchasing the domain name (but not MP3.com's technology or music assets), established
the current MP3.com site.

Britannica Online

Encyclopædia Britannica, the oldest English-language general encyclopaedia. The Encyclopædia


Britannica was first published in 1768, when it began to appear in Edinburgh, Scotland. During the early
1990s, under the editorial direction of Robert McHenry, editor in chief, the company developed
Britannica Online, an extended electronic reference service for delivery over the Internet. In 1994
Britannica debuted the first Internet-based encyclopaedia. Users paid a fee to access the information,
which was located at http://www.eb.com.

Facebook

Facebook is an online social media and social networking service owned by American technology giant
Meta Platforms. Created in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg with fellow Harvard College students and
roommates Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. Facebook can
be accessed from devices with Internet connectivity, such as personal computers, tablets and
smartphones. After registering, users can create a profile revealing information about themselves. They
can post text, photos and multimedia which are shared with any other users who have agreed to be
their "friend" or, with different privacy settings, publicly. Users can also communicate directly with each
other with Messenger, join common-interest groups, and receive notifications on the activities of their
Facebook friends and the pages they follow.

Twitter

Twitter is an online social media and social networking service owned and operated by American
company X Corp., the legal successor of Twitter, Inc. Twitter is a service for friends, family, and
coworkers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages.
People post Tweets, which may contain photos, videos, links, and text. These messages are posted to
your profile, sent to your followers, and are searchable on Twitter search.

WordPress is a content management system (CMS) that allows you to host and build websites.
WordPress contains plugin architecture and a template system, so you can customize any website to fit
your business, blog, portfolio, or online store.

Tumblr

Tumblr is a short-form microblogging social media platform. It is host to more than 529 million blogs,
which includes a variety of content such as fan fiction and art, memes, advice and more. In general,
Tumblr is used to bring people of similar interests together.

Wikipedia

Wikipedia is a free, open content online encyclopedia created through the collaborative effort of a
community of users known as Wikipedians. Anyone registered on the site can create an article for
publication; registration is not required to edit articles.

Wikibooks

Wikibooks is a collaborative book authoring website, where users from all over the world work together
to write textbooks and other types of instructional books on many topics.

Examples:
Youtube

YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine next to Google. People upload more than 100 hours of video
per minute to YouTube. It's one of the best ways to communicate to a wide audience, whether you're
promoting programs or providing information to students.

Flickr

Flickr is an ad-supported service, free to the general public, that allows users to upload digital
photographs from their own computers and share them online with either private groups or the world at
large.
WEB 3.0 (Read-Write Intelligent Web)
Describes the next evolution of the World Wide Web, the user interface that provides access to
documents, applications and multimedia on the internet.
