Hello! I’m Mrs. Romo and I will help you study along this UNIT.
Before, in unit 4, we learned about SIMPLE PAST TENSE. In this unit we are going to
continue with this but adding new vocabulary and verbs to the list.
So, let’s remember some important information.
The first thing you need to remember is to practice the verbs list.
LEARN THEM BY HEART SO YOU WON’T FORGET THEM.

Memorize the verbs. If you do, everything becomes easier.

Verbs can be divided in two big groups: regular verbs and
irregular verbs.

Regular verbs: these verbs are simple. When conjugating the past

form they just add the suffix -ed
Or
Irregular verbs? Example: play – played / invent invented

Irregular Verbs: These verbs are more complicated to memorize

because when conjugating the past form, they can change
completely or even stay the same.

Example: think-thought / go-went /eat-ate

How to make sentences in past?
Affirmative: S+ verb in past + C
Example: I studied English last week
Remember:
S= Subject
Negative: S + didn’t + verb in base form + C
Example: You didn’t visit your grandma yesterday. C= complement

Questions: (wh-)+ did +S + verb in base form + C Verb in base

Examples: What did you do last weekend? form= a verb in
Did he help you? his original form
Answers: Yes. S + did.
No. S + didn’t.
