COULD AND COULDN’T are modal verbs. Modal verbs are usually used with
another verb to express ability, possibility, necessity, permission, etc.
When and how to use it?
-We can use could and couldn't to talk about abilities in the past.
- Use the base form of the verb after could and couldn't. example: I could read
a book when I was 8.
-For questions, change the order of could and the person. Example: Could you
read a book when you were 8?
