Ugadi, the traditional New Year's Day for the people of the Deccan region of India, is
celebrated with immense joy, cultural fervor, and traditional rituals. It marks the onset of the
spring season, infusing nature with festive spirit. The Ugadi festivities at Sir C R Reddy
College of Engineering were a vibrant celebration of tradition and community spirit.
Event Highlights:
Traditional Attire and Presentations: The students, faculty, and staff of Sir C R Reddy
College of Engineering adorned themselves in traditional attire, adding to the festive
ambiance. They shared insights into the significance of Ugadi and the customary
UgadiPachchadi, symbolizing the various aspects of life.
Competitions and Activities: Various competitions such as Rangoli making, preparation of

Ugadi Pachchadi and sweets, and decoration competitions were organized. Students
enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creativity and talent. The active involvement
of faculty members in judging these competitions added to the spirit of camaraderie and
festivity.

Introduction: Sir CR Reddy College of Engineering celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great
fervor and enthusiasm. Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is a Hindu
festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed god of wisdom,
prosperity, and good fortune.The festival is Celebrated with the students and the staff with a
joy and traditional rituals.
Event Highlights: A beautifully crafted idol of Lord Ganesha was installed in a specially
decorated pandal within the college campus. Students and faculty members gathered around
the idol to offer prayers and seek blessings for wisdom, prosperity, and academic success.
Traditional bhajans and devotional songs filled the air, creating a spiritual ambiance.
The culmination of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations was marked by a grand procession for
the immersion (visarjan) of the Ganesh idol. Students, carrying the idol on a decorated
palanquin, led the procession accompanied by traditional music and chants of "Ganpati
Bappa Morya". The procession traversed through the college premises before culminating at
a nearby water body where the idol was immersed with reverence and devotion, symbolizing
the cycle of creation and dissolution.
Conclusion: The Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Sir C R Reddy college of engineering

were a memorable and spiritually enriching experience for all participants. Through
traditional rituals, cultural performances, and artistic expressions, the festival provided a
platform for students to connect with their cultural roots and express their devotion to Lord
