Worksheet #4: Audience Analysis

1. Issue Description and Audience's Position: Homelessness, a state without a home and

not having anywhere safe to sleep at night, is very pervasive and touches the lives of millions of

people worldwide. Viewing it through the lenses of different people, we see systemic failure in

which policy intervention is needed, inappropriate behaviors that result in consequences, or a

complicated problem linked to mental health, unemployment, and housing scarcity (Lee et al. 9).

The spectrum of audience viewpoints and various perspectives can be figured out, from

immediate action proponents to people who question the effectiveness of possible solutions

being provided.

3. Audience Involvement: Engagement of the audience may range from an active

audience who partakes in debates and initiatives to a limited, particular type of media (O’Regan

et al., 325). It is very essential to know about their level of understanding and engagement

because such individuals weave a better communication and create informative conversations

about homelessness.

4. Building Common Ground: Everything we have in common is expressed by equalities

like humanity, safety, and good living condition (Sleet & Louis 14). By stressing that

homelessness is the result of joint systemic concerns that touches everyone, the differences can

be unified into a single direction of how to find these solutions.

homelessness: Reflections from research." The ANNALS of the American Academy of

Political and Social Science 693.1 (2021): 322-332.

Worksheet #6: Research Evaluation

a. Information Sufficiency: The study lays a reliable groundwork, yet I am of the opinion that

including real long-drawn-appeals could make the argument more powerful by representing the

abstract figures.

d. Authority and Support: Although it is based on the data, using opinions from experts and first

hand grounded evidence will add credibility to the argument and will create a more holistic

outlook on homelessness problem.
