1 Aim and Objective of the Experiment:

Aims:
1. To analyze the current market of AR apps and identify the most popular ones
2. To evaluate the features, functionality, and user experience of the selected AR apps
3. To compare the performance of the selected AR apps in terms of accuracy, speed, and stability
4. To identify the strengths and weaknesses of each AR app and make recommendations for
improvement
Objectives:
1. To download and install the selected AR apps on test devices
2. To test the AR apps in different scenarios and environments
3. To gather data on the accuracy, speed, and stability of each AR app
4. To collect feedback from users on the ease of use and overall user experience of the AR apps
5. To generate a report that summarizes the findings and recommendations for each AR app.

2 Theory:
Augmented Reality (AR) apps are mobile applications that bring digital content into the physical
world through the camera of a smartphone or tablet. AR technology blends the real world with
computer-generated images, providing users with an interactive and immersive experience. The apps
work by using computer vision, image recognition, and GPS to recognize and track objects in the real
world and then overlay digital content onto those objects. There are a variety of AR apps available
AR and MDS 2022-23
in the market, each designed to cater to a specific audience or purpose. For instance, there are AR
games like Pokemon Go that allow players to catch Pokemon in the real world, while social media
platforms like Snapchat offer AR filters to enhance photos and videos. Other AR apps, such as
IKEA Place, are designed for practical purposes, allowing users to preview furniture in their homes
before making a purchase. AR Measure is another example of a practical AR app, which helps users
measure distances and dimensions in the real world. AR Studio is designed for artists and creative
professionals, allowing them to create their own AR experiences.
The popularity of AR apps is growing as people become more interested in immersive technologies
and the way they can enhance our real-world experiences.

3 Code:
3.1 Tool Used/language:
UniteAR is a platform that provides zero coding augmented reality tools for creating interactive AR
experiences, custom AR apps, and WebAR plugins. It is designed to be user-friendly and requires
no commercial licensing. The platform offers 24/7 technical support and a free trial option. With
UniteAR, users can create custom AR apps for Android and iOS in minutes using the design-friendly
App builder. Additionally, the platform offers solutions for creating WebAR plugins and links, image-
based AR experiences, and ground plane AR experiences without the need for coding. UniteAR aims
to democratize augmented reality by making it accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical
expertise. The platform has already been explored by various industries for different use cases, such
as marketing and advertising, art and entertainment, and education and training. UniteAR has a
growing user base with over 82,431 sign-ups, serving 175+ countries and over 130,148 AR projects
and 508,892 AR experiences.

2. Amazon Sumerian
3. Adobe Aero
4. Reflekt One
5. Vuforia Studio
6. Camera IQ
7. BUNDLAR
8. Hololink
9. Spark AR Studio

5 Conclusion
1. We studied various AR apps and evaluated the features, functionality, and user experience of
the selected AR apps.
2. We used UniteAR to make an AR app and successfully overlay a virtual object within a real-
world environment and interact with it in real-time.
