The provided table gives information on how many senior secondary school
alumni applied to 5 distinctive colleges of an educational institution over the
course of 5 years. Overall, it is noteworthy that information technology attracted the most applications during the whole period and witnessed an increase in number throughout the years, alongside finance and banking. Having a closer look at the table, it is evident that the highest number of high school leavers registered for IT faculty in university compared to other ones, peaking at 2,810 students in the last surveyed school year. Meanwhile, in the first two academic years, finance and banking college experienced the lowest number of students’ admission before the figure soaring up to 2,640 students, which ranked the 2nd in 2017-2018 period. At the same time, the lowest position was replaced by medical college, with 2,202 students entering it. On the other hand, there was an upward trend at the number of upper secondary school leavers majoring in IT and Finance and Banking colleges at variable levels. The gap in the number of students applying to Finance and Banking each year was much greater than that to IT. Education and Law faculty generally saw an increase in admission rates despite having some fluctuations during surveyed time. Concurrently, medical colleges are in stark contrast as the data recorded a steady decline throughout the research.
