Redundancy Type Description

Locally Redundant Storage (LRS) - Data is replicated within a single datacenter.

Zone Redundant Storage (ZRS) - Data is stored across different Availability Zones within a region.
Geo-Redundant Storage (GRS) - Data is replicated across regions (primary and secondary).
Cost SLA
- Lowest cost among the options. - 99.9% availability for backup data.
- Moderate cost compared to LRS. - 99.9% availability even if one Availability Zone fails.
- Higher cost due to cross-region replication. - 99.99% availability with data durability across regions.
Merits
- Suitable for scenarios where data residency within a region is sufficient.
- Ideal for critical workloads where zonal availability is essential.
- Provides robust disaster recovery capabilities.
