d) Highlight three advantages of using instructional resources in the

e) Elucidate five methods of assessment in one subject area of your

specialization (5 Marks)

(a) Enumerate the factors to consider when selecting teaching methods.

c) Discussion is one of the methods that learners use on the heuristic extreme
in the teaching spectrum.

i) Describe two types of discussion that a teacher can use during the
instruction process (4 Marks)

ii) There are various ways through which the discussion method can be
made successful. Briefly describe techniques that you use to make the
method more effective (6 Marks)

i) Highlight Briefly explain the situations that are most suitable for the use
of the discussion method (6 Marks)

d) Explain the advantages of experiment method over the demonstration

(a) A scheme of work is a detailed plan for the objectives and content of a
subject to be taught (covered) within over a specified period of time for a
given level. Using one topic in one of our area of specialization, develop a
one-week scheme of work. Include all aspects of an effective scheme of
work. (10 Marks)

(b) State and explain any five types of test. In each type, give an appropriate
question you can test from one subject of your area of specialization.
