1. Identify /state/ oil sys components (Pressure)
aircraft oil systems typically consist of several components used to store, deliver, filter,
and regulate the flow of oil throughout the aircraft engine. Some common components
include:

- Oil tank: A reservoir that holds the aircraft's oil supply.

- Oil pump: Responsible for circulating oil throughout the engine.
- Oil filter: Removes impurities and contaminants from the oil to prevent engine
damage.
- Oil cooler: Helps maintain the oil at the optimal operating temperature.
- Oil pressure regulator: Ensures that the oil is delivered at the correct pressure to
various engine components.
- Oil lines: Connect the various components of the oil system to transport oil
throughout the engine.
- Oil pressure gauge: Provides a visual indication of the oil pressure within the system.
- Oil temperature gauge: Monitors the temperature of the oil to prevent overheating.
- Drain valve: Allows for easy removal of used oil during maintenance.
- Relief valve: Safeguards against excessive oil pressure in the system.

4. What dose the inspection method of main oil screen contain.

*Inspection Procedure:**
- Access: Followed aircraft manufacturer's instructions and maintenance procedures
to gain access to the main oil screen.
- Removal: Carefully removed the main oil screen from its housing using the
recommended procedure.
- Visual Inspection: Conducted a thorough visual inspection of the main oil screen for
contamination, debris, and damage.
- Cleaning: Cleaned the main oil screen using an appropriate cleaning solution and
followed the manufacturer's guidelines.
- Reinstallation: Reinstalled the main oil screen, ensuring proper alignment and
seating, and torqued the fasteners to the recommended specifications.
- Functional Check: Performed a functional check of the system to verify the proper
installation and operation of the main oil screen.
- Documentation: Documented the inspection process, including findings, cleaning
procedures, and maintenance actions taken.

3
Findings and Observations:
- The main oil screen was inspected visually, and no signs of significant contamination
or debris were observed.
- The screen itself appeared to be in good condition, without any visible tears or
excessive wear.
- Cleaning was conducted thoroughly, resulting in the removal of minor debris and
contaminants.

Recommendations:
- No immediate maintenance actions are required based on the findings of this
inspection.
- Regular monitoring and routine inspections of the main oil screen should be continued
as per the aircraft manufacturer's maintenance schedule.

Conclusion:
The inspection of the aircraft main oil screen was conducted in accordance with the
aircraft manufacturer's guidelines and maintenance procedures. No significant issues
or damages were identified during the inspection. The main oil screen was cleaned and
reinstalled properly, ensuring its effective operation. Routine monitoring and
maintenance of the main oil screen should be continued to ensure the continued
integrity of the oil system.

5. How do you detect an oil leakage on the an engine, if it is found socked

with oil.
Low levels of oil due to leaks should be identified right away, as these can cause major
engine damage if neglected or left unattended. To quickly detect oil leaks in your small
aircraft, you may either use a UV flashlight or a UV dye kit– both of which are readily
available online. Ultraviolet blacklight can reveal leaks as a bright fluorescent yellow or
green glow. Routine inspection, quality control, or troubleshooting procedures of all
external surfaces, pipework, joints, and coils using UV light offers an improved
probability of fluid leak detection.

UV Flashlight
1.Start the engine and let it run for a while.
2.Shut it down.
3.Use the UV flashlight to check the engine from all sides.
4.If there is a leak, the oil will glow under the light.

Combustion chamber oil leakage detection

The O2 sensor typically screws into the vehicle's exhaust system, either in the exhaust
manifold or a pipe downstream. If it's contaminated with oil (a sign that oil is leaking
into the combustion chamber and being burned), the sensor tip will have dark brown
deposits.
