We Need a Name

I have given the strategy a new name.

I will call the 8th bar the “8 Ball”, and I will call the 13th bar the “Teenager”.

If you have a better name, let me know.

Situational Analysis

FTSE 8 Ball
The last chart in the original presentation – 22nd Nov 2023
After The Speech

The charts prior to this slide was from before the speech. Remember that “8 Ball” and “Teenager” is
not dependent on the 1st bar’s colour.

Now I will go through every day since the talk in London’s IX show.

23rd Nov 2023 – 8 Bar fails – in my eyes at least – and depending on your offset, Teenager fails, because the high
is 7492.3, and market goes 7494. Even if you used a 2-point offset, the spread will take you long.

If you flipped the switch, it is a different story.

See next slide for commentary
Tuesday 28th November 2023: First example of a negative bar - and it worked - MAX 20 points - And then 8 and 13
pencilled in too.....
Wednesday 29th November 2023: Notice the size of 8 Ball candle. This makes me concerned to trade because of
the size of the stop loss.
Thursday the 30th November: Gordon is alive.
Friday the 1st December: Gordon is still alive. ☺
Monday the 1st of December: The reason I wanted to take pen to paper was to talk about today’s 8 Ball. I didn’t take
that trade because the range of the 8 th was so large. Ignoring the 1st min of the day, the subsequent candles had a
range of 7 to 11 points. Then 8 Ball happens, and it is 16. I felt it was too much. Even if you used a 2-point offset, you
would have been filled (7522.1 vs 7523.9 high) because of spread. Always mind your risk.
When you study the charts of the last 36 pages, it becomes clearer what setups work well and which ones doesn’t.

For example, slide 15 is an extremely large bar, and slide 16 is an extremely small bar.

The best results comes from bars where the range is orderly, compared to previous bars. Take for example Bar 13 today, it is orderly, and
contextually aligned with previous bars.

OK. Enough for now.
