Hello and thank you for loving Pip the Panda as much as I do!
Pip has quickly become a much loved member of the Belle and Grace collection and I just
couldn’t wait to get the pattern out to all of you that I have put other pattern writing aside
and have got straight on to it! Pip wasn’t even a planned make, I had actually sat down to
make a flamingo and it turned into a panda.
Happy making and I cant wait to see your finished Pip.
Amanda xoxo
The head and body are made in one piece, starting with the nose.

Stuff the head, making sure you stuff the nose firmly. Pin the eye patches to the sides of the
nose, curving them down. I have a gape of 5 holes between them both on the top of the
nose. Once you sew them on its time to attach the eyes.
You may need to use the blunt end of a crochet hook to push through the eye patch and
head to create a little hole as it might be a little difficult to get the eye in.

f/o weave in end.
We attach the legs before attaching the arms, this helps to make sure your panda sits
evenly. Lay your panda flat on a table and pin the first leg to the side. Ideally, we want the
bottom of the feet to sit flat with the underbelly.
Pin the second leg. I have it so the legs are 7 rounds away from the black of the belly, and at
the bottom end approx. 6 round gap between them.
Once you are happy with the placement sew them on, only sewing around the “leg” area,
leaving the “feet”.

Arms x2 with black yarn
R1: MR 6sc (6)
R2: inc x6 (12)
R3: (sc,inc) x6 (18)
R4 to 8: sc x18 (18)
R9: (4sc,dec) x3 (15)
R10 to 13: sc x15 (15)
f/o leaving long tail. Only put a very little stuffing in the end of the arms.
Pin the arms to the side on a slight angle, pointing down. We want them to sit evenly with
the legs. Sew around the arms half way up and on to the body, only on the black part of the
body.
Pin the ears to the top of the head. I have mine over rounds 14 to 16 curving them slightly,
with a 6 hole gap between them. Sew them in place.
