Korean K-pop: K-pop, is a form of popular music originating in South Korea as part of South
Korean culture. Its unique blend of catchy tunes, captivating performances, and eye-
catching music videos has captured the hearts and minds of millions of fans worldwide. As a
driving force behind the increasing popularity of the Korean language and culture, K-pop has
played a significant role in fostering global understanding and appreciation for Korea’s rich
heritage.
K-Dramas have a multitude of different genre such as action dramas, historical dramas,
school dramas, medical dramas, legal dramas, or even horror comedies. The unique blend of
engaging narratives, cultural depth, aesthetic beauty, and emotional resonance positions K-
Dramas as a distinctive and influential player in the global entertainment industry. Some
Korean films have resonated in countries throughout the world, such as: The Winter Sonata;
Stairway to Heaven; Autumn in My Heart;…
5. Behavior
Objects, gifts, and food should be offered and received with two hands. It is best practice to
remove your shoes before entering a Korean home.Use two hands or your right hand alone
to offer or receive something. Avoid using the left hand alone. Basic hygiene is noticed and
appreciated. Wash your hands regularly and avoid touching other people or things if they
are dirty. People may look down on those with visibly dirty hands as low-class.
In eating, it is considered inappropriate for adults to eat while walking, so street food is
often eaten on the spot where it is bought. Food should not be eaten with one’s fingers.
Spoons are used to eat soup, but chopsticks are used for everything else.
South Korea has a large drinking culture. If you do not want to participate in drinking, try to
give a sincere reason such as medical or religious grounds. Fill others’ glasses before your
own. When drinking with someone of greater status than themselves, Koreans usually do
not drink directly but turn to the left or right to drink to show respect for the person older
than them.
Conclusion
Those are some of the unique features of Korean culture and I think it's worth learning
about. If you get the chance, travel to Korea and see its lovely culture.
