Case description

Engine auto shutdown. Machine Name plate

Symptom

When operation the machine, alarm was appear and engine auto shutdown at near 400A.

Reason
Hour Meter
The current rate is electron flow rate.If the current rate increase, a lot of electron will be flow.
And then, if the current flow in the cable,there are maganetic field in the cable.Now, cable insulator was in the worn
condition.So,when the resistance of the insulator was low, electron jump to other.So, "gen: short circuit" alarm appear at
400A.

Action

We checked the fuses and relays, it was normal.We checked 8 pin socket to module wire lines and other sockets loses,it was
normal.We changed test load line with other genset to known load lines has or not has short circuit,it was not problem.We
dismounted the generator cover and we checked the generator out put lines U V W and CTs coil.We found generator output
line V W and CTs coils was worn.
We cover cable lines V W and CTs coil with wire tapes.We test-run the genset, it was normal condition.
