I humbly submit this letter of recommendation in support of Olivia Cheek. I have known Olivia since
2020 when she began her academic career as a freshman at Columbia Adventist Academy. I have had
the privilege of coaching Olivia in volleyball, first as a junior varsity player and subsequently as a varsity
player. Olivia joined the Kodiaks volleyball team without any prior experience to my knowledge, but it
did not take long for her to develop into the elite athlete and brilliant young lady she is today.

From day one as her junior varsity coach, it was imperative to set high expectations that I felt would not
only help her become a better volleyball player but also help to mold her into a hardworking, productive
and compassionate person that she was already becoming. In my personal and professional opinion,
Olivia possesses the attributes of honesty, confidence, accountability, initiative, and teamwork to be the
servant leader she is.

Respectively, it takes time, effort, resilience and ambition to be a leader and through the years of
coaching Olivia I can say without a doubt that she has the qualities needed to be an influential leader
thus, she was chosen to be the captain of our varsity volleyball team. She has shown tremendous
growth in her ability to communicate, listen, adapt, and lead by example even when there are
challenges that may seem insurmountable, Olivia steps to the plate. I highly recommend Olivia for any
job or promotion within your company as I am confident, she will be an asset that will help shape a
more sustainable, profitable and growing future for your organization.
