This year’s UPlantIt pollinator pack has an exciting addition that is creating a lot of buzz! We
are thrilled to partner with our friends at the Pollinator Citizen Science Project to provide you
with the tools to learn more about the important pollinators that are visiting your UPlantIt garden!
In addition, by becoming a citizen scientist yourself, you can help entomologist around the
country better understand which plants attract specific pollinator species.

Three Easy Steps to Contribute to the Citizen Scientist Project:

STEP 1: VIEW TRAINING VIDEOS
There are TWO parts to the training: (a) Pollinator Training and (b) Contribution Training. Watch both by visiting
https://sixleggedaggie.com/research/pollinator-project/.

STEP 2. COMPLETE THE QUIZ

To contribute to the pollinator citizen science project, citizen scientists must complete a short quiz with a passing grade of
80% or above. Participants have unlimited attempts at the quiz, so don’t worry if you don’t pass the first time! Once an 80%
or above passing grade has been achieved, you will receive an email with a certificate, and you can start contributing to
pollinator observations at that time.

STEP 3. CONTRIBUTE!
After viewing the training videos and completing the quiz you can use the form at https://sixleggedaggie.com/research/pol-
linator-project/ on your mobile device (or desktop) to contribute to the pollinator citizen science project. Please be sure
to include the same email in the form that was used in the quiz above; that is the only way we can verify our contributors!
