How does your values affect your actions and behavior towards others?
Student’s Answer:

The moral principles that direct our behavior and views are called values. They aid in defining
one's judgment of what is most significant in life. Values vary from person to person, and the values
individuals hold close determine their character. This describes the personal qualities they integrate
to guide their actions and the kind of individual they aspire to be.

Values play an important role in society, as they are said to be the basis of human beings leading
a good and fulfilling life. Thus, the importance of values in society is immense. Values can be
contagious; if one practices them, others will follow. In this case, if all the individuals share the same
values, they will be able to build a good culture and aid the betterment of society. This makes people
with the right set of values in life the backbone for the development of society. That’s why societies
should also emphasize instilling positive values in their members. Additionally, a society with a
shared good structure value also makes its member easier to relate with each other, and if these
values are implemented effectively, society can function efficiently. Lastly, values also bring positive
common welfare because of proper practice of values as they create a sense of respect between
individuals.

To summarize, values are individual beliefs that influence and direct people to act in one direction
or another. Being aware of your values can affect how you act and behave with other people.
Recognizing your priorities means knowing your values. Every individual has different preferences
and different values.
