Attitudes and Interpersonal Understanding Lab (AIU Lab), led by Dr. Y.

Andre Wang, is
inviting motivated, detail-oriented students to join the lab as volunteer research
assistants. In this lab, we conduct research on topics such as empathy, morality, romantic
attraction, beliefs about social phenomena, and statistics/data science. Research
assistants are involved in a wide range of tasks in the research process, including: coding
survey and auditory interview data, participant recruitment, data collection and
management, literature review, study design, and more. Research assistants can gain
valuable skills in empirical research and project management for future careers in and
outside of academia. Research assistants are expected to volunteer for
4–8 hours per week, pending fluctuations in lab operations.
