the right to revoke this document, should any information come to light which compromises its integrity.

The purpose of the SAQA evaluation is to determine authenticity of foreign qualifications and locate
them within the South African NQF. Admission to study, professional licensing and employment are
decided by other bodies, whose specific internal criteria and requirements must be met regardless of
the recognition decision taken by SAQA.

In order to practise medicine in South Africa, registration with the Health Professions Council of South
Africa (HPCSA) is a prerequisite. For this purpose the specific internal criteria and requirements of
HPCSA must be met as these are not replaced by the SAQA Certificate of Evaluation.
