DROPS

PHASE I
OBJECTIVE
Phase I of the Drop Series is an introduction to how we
connect our body to the oor. I recommend getting into this
program after you have established an above average
understanding of “Shooting Foundations.” The work done in
that program will serve as the springboard into this one. You
will be selling yourself short of big time results without having
put in the necessary prerequisite work.
Throughout this program I will be asking you to get into
positions with body that you will not be accustomed to.
Dropping into the hips does not come natural for many.
Learning to do this at an exaggerated level while connecting
full foot (most of foot) to the ground will start stacking power
in your body like never before.
Drops Phase I is the catalyst for nding true balance,
power and e cient movement into game like shots. It is
important that while going through this program you do not
put stock in how ‘fast’ something is. This is an opportunity to
strengthen our mind/body connection and turn what we’re
building into something both quick and e cient later down
the road in Phase II + Phase III.
If you’re reading this as a member of the Keep Shooting
Academy, I recommend you sending video as you make your
way through this program. A second set of eyes will be
valuable to your progress. Do not be concerned with getting
through this program in exactly 5 days. These workouts are
intended to be done over and over again. Each time you
embark upon a workout you have already done, you are
beginning that workout with a di erent perspective than the
previous time you completed. Be deliberate. Those who
rush arrive later.

This workout is all about getting comfortable in


the DROP. Do your best to connect mentally to
what it is that you are doing. This workout can
be done multiple days in a row (as can any other
workout within this course). Each time you
repeat a workout you are approaching it from a
perspective you had not previously been aware
of. The more present you can be, the more
progress you will make.

This program is not designed to go through one time and
be done. It was made to o er structure around how we drop,
why we drop and the importance of connecting to the oor.
This will work best with the more video you send in to be
evaluated. Phase II will be available to all, but I highly
recommend not moving on until we have discussed next
steps.

Shooting is and will always be unique to the individual


doing it. Where you’re starting, your experience, your
understanding, etc is 100% unique to you. Let’s keep the

where it is you want to go.
