METHODOLOGY CALCULATION
The methodology gas loading calculation follows :
1. Calculate volume inventory using formula :
𝜋 𝐷2
𝑉(𝑓𝑡3) = 𝐿
4
2. Calculate mass of gas in the system
(known P and T density of gas) : 𝑙𝑏
𝑀𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑙𝑏 = 𝜌( )𝑥 𝑉𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (ft3)
𝑓𝑡3
3. Calculate Mass of gas per mole :
𝑙𝑏
𝑙𝑏 𝑀 𝑔𝑎𝑠 ℎ𝑟)
(
𝑀𝑚𝑜𝑙 ( )=
𝑀𝑀𝑠𝑐𝑓 𝑀𝑀𝑠𝑐𝑓
𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑠 ( )
ℎ𝑟
4. Calculate total moles of gas :
𝑀𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (𝑙𝑏)
𝑛𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (𝑀𝑀𝑠𝑐𝑓) =
𝑙𝑏
𝑀𝑚𝑜𝑙 ( )
5. Calculate Heating Load of gas : 𝑀𝑀𝑠𝑐𝑓
𝑄𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (𝐵𝑇𝑈) =
𝑛𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (𝑠𝑐𝑓)𝑥 𝐺𝐻𝑉𝑚𝑜𝑙𝑎𝑟 (BTU/scf)
GHV is taken from hysys

SIMOPS
The SIMOPS risk assessment process must review and evaluate in detail the
simultaneous operations and tasks, including the following steps:
summarize the operations that may take place simultaneously in the field and
identify the hazards capable of arising because of these;
investigate the development of the hazards into accident events;
assess the effectiveness of hazard controls in such circumstances; and
identify the consequences of accident events, where they have been shown to be
able to occur, to determine the effects on the facility risk levels.
SIMOPS shall be identified by responsible personnel at all stages of PTW lifecycle.
In particular this shall be conducted as follows:
Identification Methode Responsible Responsible
PTW review and Site condition verification KPB, RU-V , PTG PHM & PTG

PRE-COMMISSIONING
To avoid accidents and ensure the safety of the manpower involved in all aspects
of pipeline pre-commissioning and commissioning, the following steps must be
taken :
Proper training and briefing of all personnel on their safe performance of their
duties, Communication system, knowledge of emergency shut down and
evacuation plans with the designation of multiple points of egress
Diligent instruments/apparatus (electrical wiring inspection, lubricant checks)
with the replacement of faulty parts

Operation & Maintenance Strategy
Introduction
• Developed based on code provision, company experience, and
knowledge of facilities and operating condition
• Location Class should be determined upon initiating gas service
Basic Requirements
• Written plan covering operating and maintenance procedures
• Written emergency plan covering facilities failure
• Operating and maintaining its facilities in conformance with those plans
• Modifying the plans periodically
• Employee training about operating and maintaining
Training Program
• Provided to prepare the employee response in emergency condition
• The employee should mastering the emergency procedures and action
in handling the situation
• The program established and maintained on a continuing basis with
provision for updating the procedures
Educational Program
• Established to enable the public to recognize and report the gas emergency
• Operator of each section should communicate their program to the general
public
• The programs in the same area should be coordinated to avoid inconsistency

INTEGRITY ASSESSMENT METHODS
PIPELINE MAINTENANCE
Periodic Surveillance of Pipelines
Taken when unusual operating and maintenance conditions occur, such as
failures and leakage. If not satisfying, a planned program shall be initiated to
abandon, replace or recondition and proof test
Pipeline Patrolling
to observe surface conditions on and adjacent to each pipeline right-of way,
indications of leaks, construction activity and any other factor affecting the
safety and operation
Leakage Surveys
Types of surveys shall be effective for determining if potentially hazardous
leakage exists. The extent and frequency are determined by the operating
pressure, piping age, and class location
PIPELINE MAINTENANCE
Pipeline markers
• installed to indicate pipeline presence at road, highway, railroad
and stream crossings.
• Easy to read and not obscured
• the signs must include the name of gas transported, company,
and telephone number

METHODOLOGY CALCULATION
The methodology gas loading calculation follows :
1. Calculate volume inventory using formula :
𝜋 𝐷2
𝑉(𝑓𝑡3) = 𝐿
4
2. Calculate mass of gas in the system
(known P and T density of gas) : 𝑙𝑏
𝑀𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑙𝑏 = 𝜌( )𝑥 𝑉𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (ft3)
𝑓𝑡3
3. Calculate Mass of gas per mole :
𝑙𝑏
𝑙𝑏 𝑀 𝑔𝑎𝑠 ℎ𝑟)
(
𝑀𝑚𝑜𝑙 ( )=
𝑀𝑀𝑠𝑐𝑓 𝑀𝑀𝑠𝑐𝑓
𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑠 ( )
ℎ𝑟
4. Calculate total moles of gas :
𝑀𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (𝑙𝑏)
𝑛𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (𝑀𝑀𝑠𝑐𝑓) =
𝑙𝑏
𝑀𝑚𝑜𝑙 ( )
5. Calculate Heating Load of gas : 𝑀𝑀𝑠𝑐𝑓
𝑄𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (𝐵𝑇𝑈) =
𝑛𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 (𝑠𝑐𝑓)𝑥 𝐺𝐻𝑉𝑚𝑜𝑙𝑎𝑟 (BTU/scf)
GHV is taken from hysys
