In my opinion, the second picture is more fun.
¿Por qué fun hace el comparativo con more si se
trata de una sola sílaba? Porque es un sustantivo.
have fun = pasarlo bien
have lots of fun

while = mientras, mientras que (contraste o

simultaneidad)
whereas = mientras que (sólo para contraste)

In the first picture there is a man having fun on his

own whereas/while in the second one a mother is
doing a fun activity with her son.

WHILE en algunos contextos puede equivaler a

ALTHOUGH, a AUNQUE.
Peter is good at Maths, but he’s terrible at PE.
While Peter is good at Maths, he’s terrible at PE.
While good at Maths, Peter is terrible at PE

Con familiares y estirpes reales se usa más la E
que la O: old – elder – the eldest
2. She’s the……tallest…………(tall) girl in my class.
Truco: Si pone the, superlativo, y si NO pone
the, comparativo.
En los readings sí que podéis ver alguna vez the
+ comparativo, pero no lo uséis. Por ejemplo,
yo voy a hacerle una foto a la clase y dos de
ellos son muyyyy altos. ¿Podéis los más altos
poneros detrás? the taller En mi cabeza
estoy comparando.
Hay un caso muy curioso de dos veces the +
comparativo:
the more expensive, the better = cuanto más
caro, mejor
cuanto más barato, peor = the cheaper, the
worse
cuanto menos ruidoso, mejor = the less noisy,
the better
The bigger the house (is), the better.
FAR:
1. Motril is far (away) from Barcelona.
Motril está lejos de Barcelona.
2. They live in the Far East.
Ellos viven en el Lejano Oriente.
3. This is the best song by far.
Esta es la mejor canción con creces/de lejos.
4. We haven’t seen anything so far.
No hemos visto nada hasta ahora.
Aunque so far literalmente significa tan
lejos, aquí es hasta ahora.
5. This is far more difficult than English. = This
is much more difficult than English. = This is
a lot more difficult than English. (informal) =
Esto es mucho más difícil que el inglés.
6. un primo lejano = a distant cousin
un amigo íntimo = a close friend

1. He’s the most famous person in town.

He’s the least…unknown person in

Se pone IN cuando es un lugar.
2. She’s worse at Maths than her sister.
She isn’t as/so…good at Maths as……her
sister.
as…as…= igual de…que…/tan…como…
En negativo puedes cambiar el primer AS
por SO.
3. I’ve never seen an exercise as difficult as
this one.
 This is the most difficult exercise (that)
I’ve ever seen.
4. Maggie’s car is nicer than Harry’s.
Maggie’s car isn’t as ugly as Harry’s.
5. His suitcase isn’t as light as mine.
My suitcase isn’t as heavy as his.
